As Christians, we rejoice in the hope of the glory of GOD! So much of the news is so so heavy right now. I think we all feel the weight of the world upon us. But let’s remind ourselves, that this is the world, broken and full of sin. Things are far from perfect, people fail us daily and so do institutions. But because of this hope……..
COLOSSIANS 1: 5 “……..BECAUSE OF THE HOPE RESERVED FOR YOU IN HEAVEN, OF WHICH YOU PREVIOUSLY HEARD IN THE WORD OF TRUTH, THE GOSPEL THAT HAS COME TO YOU.”
Because………of……….the……….hope……….reserved………for……….you……….in………heaven. WOW! Hope reserved, hope kept for us. Not hope denied, but hope reserved! If you do not know JESUS, then learn what you can about the hope of the Cross.
When we are part of the Body of Christ, we have this forever hope. It is a hope that lasts and endures and always looks vertical. JESUS is our only hope.
We know that one day CHRIST will return……….it’s a hope that is forever in our future. When HE does, HE will make everything right again……..
HEBREWS 11: 1 “NOW FAITH IS THE REALITY OF WHAT IS HOPED FOR, THE PROOF OF WHAT IS NOT SEEN.”
Without our faith, there is no hope, no hope of a Savior and no hope of redemption for all of our sins. That beautiful wooden Cross is our perpetual hope.
As far as Colossians 1: 5 says we have this hope “reserved for us in Heaven” and it is an anchor for our very souls, firm and secure, trustworthy and unshakable. What a blessing of the hope we have in JESUS!
Just because bad things happen doesn’t mean there isn’t hope………there always is hope! Hope never dies and it never will. Even a small glimmer of hope in the midst of tragedy shows us the light and love we all have with JESUS.
If your hope feels weak today, remember that there it is………reserved for you in Heaven. What a comfort for your soul and what a hopeful thought to remember!
ROMANS 15: 13 “MAY THE GOD OF HOPE FILL YOU WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE IN BELIEVING, SO THAT BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT YOU MAY ABOUND IN HOPE.”

Hope reserved- which is an anchor for our souls. It is never lost, no matter the situation we always have hope. I found this very comforting and encouraging. Thank you Maxine. God bless you 🙏🏽

As I read this, I thought of so many of the saints of the Bible: Moses, Elijah, Jonah, Paul. They were all ready to die, for God to take them away from slogging through the mess of the people of this world.
I think we get that. But God gave us a survival instinct for good reason. And we have hope – God gives us much hope, and we know His Word is true. We always have something to look forward to, whether it’s in this world or in Heaven with Him.
