SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

GOD’S DOORWAY INTO OUR LIVES……..IS TIME.

The LORD finds a way doesn’t HE?  HE knocks and we need to open that door of time in our lives.  Time to give HIM, time to be with HIM.  Our time is the most precious gift we have every day so how we spend it matters.  Will you open that door to HIM today?

REVELATION 3: 20   “BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK.  IF ANYONE HEARS MY VOICE AND OPENS THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN TO HIM AND EAT WITH HIM, AND HE WITH ME.”

It’s the “being with” that is so important.  HE will be with us, in all things.  We just need to devote our time, every day to our Savior who loves us more than we can ever know or imagine.

HOSEA 10: 12   “…….FOR IT IS THE TIME TO SEEK THE LORD, THAT HE MAY COME AND RAIN RIGHTEOUSNESS UPON YOU.”

When we are authentic with our time for GOD, HE meets us right where we are.  It’s ok to say, LORD I don’t have a lot of time today, but here is what I do have right now, so speak to me!  Personally, I love the luxury of time when I can sit and not even look at the clock.  But some days our time is so minimal and fleeting.

I really believe every morning JESUS is just sitting waiting for us to get up and then HE says this:  “will you spend some time with me?”   Someone once gave me this visual of HIM sitting in an easy chair in my home.  Would I pass HIM by and go on with my day after HE said this to me?  Never!

IT TAKES TIME TO HEAR HIS VOICE TO YOU

An appointment with JESUS is never a waste.  It is a treasure.  It turns out to be time that is the best and well spent…….all for eternity too.  This precious time is a gift……..a gift of HIS grace.

PSALM 37: 7   “BE STILL BEFORE THE LORD AND WAIT PATIENTLY FOR HIM.”

Wait expectantly, wait patiently.  Wait with an open mind and heart.  Worship HIM in those moments and be thankful, thankful for time spent together.  Because HE wants to meet with us in relationship.  JESUS is not a religion, HE is a relationship.

If you think about it, we are not worthy to bring anything before GOD, except our time!  Making GOD a priority over everything and everyone around us is a choice that HE does see.

GIVE JESUS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING YOU HAVE…….YOUR TIME!

So today, Sunday……..sit quietly in the stillness and watch the LORD do the following.  HE will:

  • Open your eyes to the wondrous things in HIS law.  PSALM 119:18
  • Incline your heart to all HIS promises and not to selfish gain.  PSALM 119:36
  • Unite your heart to fear HIS name.  PSALM 86:11
  • Satisfy you with HIS steadfast love so that you may be glad all your days.  PSALM 90:14

This is GOD’S doorway to us…….precious time.  Let’s not waste it!  Blessings on your Sunday my friends!

GALATIANS 4: 4   “BUT WHEN THE FULLNESS OF TIME HAD COME, GOD SENT FORTH HIS SON…….”

  1. In what is not normal for me, my days have been rushed for the past few weeks (and it’s not letting up for another couple of weeks). My schedule has not been my own, and I have been basking in the presence of the Lord without much time to focus on Him.

But He does provide those rare and precious moments when I stop in my tracks and simply KNOW He is with me, and I wait on Him in His presence.

    I love my God!

    1. HE is amazing that way. Yes I don’t like it when like you said here: my schedule is not my own. Ugh. But GOD! HE is always there by our sides anyway. I am so thankful that HE is forever faithful! HUGS friend!

  2. Love this post Maxine. Giving our time to Jesus. It is a choice and we have to be intentional with it. I feel and do my best when I am committed to Him with how I steward my time and keep Him a priority.

  3. I love the imagery of Jesus waiting for us each morning, inviting us to share in that relationship. It’s so true that our time is our most precious gift, and how we choose to use it reflects our priorities.

    God’s Continued Blessings to you.

    You Are Loved.
