Have you ever wondered: “GOD why would YOU love me, even now, because I don’t even like me!”

EPHESIANS 2: 4   “BUT GOD, BEING RICH IN MERCY, BECAUSE OF THE GREAT LOVE WITH WHICH HE LOVED US, EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN OUR TRESPASSES, MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST.”

Besides the obvious being said in the above verse there are two small phrases that we can hang on to:

BUT GOD……..EVEN WHEN

Ponder this…….but GOD still loves us, even when we don’t love ourselves.  There is much that we tend to carry around in our hearts, the hurts and the pain.  Everyone has something.  We carry around deep thoughts about ourselves instead of realizing and knowing that GOD does not make junk as someone once said!

IF YOU HAVEN’T YET TODAY………GIVE YOURSELF SOME GRACE

Remind yourself today that GOD is grace.  And HE gives even greater grace!  Even when we need help and hope, GOD comes to us with HIS grace.  Our help only comes from the GOD of all grace.

ISAIAH 49: 8   “IN A TIME OF FAVOR I HAVE ANSWERED YOU; IN A DAY OF SALVATION  I HAVE HELPED YOU.”

ISAIAH 41:10  “FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU; BE NOT DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD.”

What a powerful word from the GOD of grace, that even when we don’t like ourselves or love ourselves, HE does because HE is always with us and will always be our Everlasting GOD!  Draw near to HIM and HE will draw near to you.

The enemy hisses and tries to taunt us with doubt and fear, fear that even when we don’t love ourselves, that GOD doesn’t either.  Don’t think that HE is somehow punishing you, because HE is remaking you and redeeming you.

BUT GOD……..EVEN WHEN

Even when we doubt, even when we fear, even when we tear ourselves down, GOD lifts us back up again with HIS never ending love and grace.  It is always there and even when we think we don’t need it, there is an abundance of it.

I’m so thankful GOD doesn’t give up on me!  Aren’t you?  CHRIST went to the Cross just for us, even when the gift of salvation was not deserved.  Since we are sinful, CHRIST took that sin upon HIMSELF and stood in the gap between GOD and us.  What a Savior we have and what a wonderful GOD!

ROMANS 5: 8   “BUT GOD SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US BY SENDING CHRIST TO DIE FOR US WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS.”

Remember today, that even when you don’t, GOD loves you still!  And even when all our doubts, fears, pain and suffering overwhelm us, our GOD never leaves our sides.  No, HE draws near to us, because of HIS love and grace, …….just for us.

ROMANS 5:6   “WHEN WE WERE UTTERLY HELPLESS, CHRIST CAME AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME AND DIED FOR US SINNERS.”
