Here is a question: how motivated are you to stand firm in your faith? How about firm in your beliefs? And the gospel word? What motivates you to stand on solid ground, unwavering in your soul?
Because we live in this fallen world there are things around us that can motivate us and there are things that can pull us into laziness and apathy. It’s that thought process of “I will start tomorrow” and then tomorrow never happens!
PROVERBS 16: 2 “ALL THE WAYS OF A MAN ARE PURE IN HIS OWN EYES, BUT THE LORD WEIGHS THE SPIRIT.”
And so, our motives are weighed by the LORD, HE looks at our heart condition. So if we fix our gaze and our hearts upon JESUS then HE alone can motivate us to remain firm in all we think and do because HE does the surgery needed upon our hearts and changes us from inside out. Neither our family or our friends can do this for us. We must be devoted only to GOD and HE will give us clear direction on where to begin and how to stand firm.
STAND AND REMAIN FIRM:
- In your faith
- In your beliefs
- In your prayer life
- In your direction in life
- In your study of the Bible
- In your unceasing worship of the LORD
Because in this life, for such a time as this………there will be much resistance. And there is much of GOD’S word we need to embrace, so we can live it out the best we can. We must remain vertical in our thinking and not let the horizontal pull us in the wrong direction.
GALATIANS 5: 1 “FOR FREEDOM CHRIST HAS SET US FREE; STAND FIRM THEREFORE, AND DO NOT SUBMIT AGAIN TO A YOKE OF SLAVERY.”
And let’s remember this too:
1 CORINTHIANS 16: 13 “BE ON YOUR GUARD; STAND FIRM IN THE FAITH; BE COURAGEOUS; BE STRONG.”
Standing firm and being motivated by JESUS means you can walk in the authority of HIS light! What a comforting thought this is……..HIS name is power and today it is the power we need.
EPHESIANS 1: 19 “AND WHAT IS THE EXCEEDING GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TOWARD US WHO BELIEVE, ACCORDING TO THE WORKING OF HIS MIGHTY POWER.”
Let us never doubt HIS power and HIS ability to help us when we are weak. JESUS’ name is power and HE will motivate us to stand firm in all that we are and all that we hope to become. Be encouraged today and put all doubts aside because HE is pure strength and HE will motivate your soul because…….
COLOSSIANS 1: 17 “HE IS BEFORE ALL THINGS AND BY HIM ALL THINGS HOLD TOGETHER.”
Today let’s rejoice that JESUS holds all things together, including those of us who need motivation to remain steadfast and firm as we walk in HIS incredible light!

I admit, I like rewards. I know that, if I am obedient to God, He will bless me. I may not have any idea what those blessings might be, but because He loves me so much, I know they will be perfect. He built me, and He know what I like and don’t like. So, I am motivated to be obedient because I like living in the safe zone.
1 Cor 2.9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

I like the point to be on guard. We never know when situations might arise to stand firm in our faith. Thank you for the reminder that Jesus is always there, and can help us in those moments. ♥️
