HEAVENSREEF

It’s a very hard thing, living in this world today and even harder to not live of it.  There is much tension to be had here, especially in the here and now.  We get distracted from our GOD and we live each day with responsibilities, family and friends and yet deep down in the recesses of our souls we know we don’t belong here.  We were made for something more, something better than what our world has to offer………our forever home.

2 CORINTHIANS 5: 6   “SO WE ARE ALWAYS CONFIDENT, KNOWING THAT WHILE WE ARE AT HOME IN THE BODY WE ARE ABSENT FROM THE LORD.”

We live each day in the here and now knowing there is a not yet.  Thank GOD we have the Spirit to walk with us as our guide, but even then we also long for our future home, to be in HIS presence.  

What is here is perishable and due to GOSPEL hope, we desire and know we will have the imperishable!  In a way we own and have perishable wreaths of sin……….JESUS is our only answer to having an imperishable soul.  Because the not yet is HIS kingdom, HIS paradise and HE saved us so our souls can be there with HIM forever!

So in this now, we are CHRIST conscious, abiding in HIM every day.  HE helps us in the here and now, cause it’s all we have right now and HE told us HE would not leave us alone…….

JOHN 14: 16   “AND I WILL ASK THE FATHER, AND HE WILL GIVE YOU ANOTHER HELPER, TO BE WITH YOU FOREVER…….”

Grab onto the Spirit of hope with all you have, because HE guides us in the here and now.  Our current helper is the Spirit of truth for such a time as this.  GOD has poured out HIS love for us now, in our hearts because of HIS love for us…….

ROMANS 5: 5   “AND THIS HOPE WILL NEVER DISAPPOINT US, BECAUSE GOD HAS POURED OUT HIS LOVE TO FILL OUR HEARTS.”

In the here and now GOD dwells in us, not around us, or above us – in our inner recesses of our being HE dwells there.  And those who know this and love GOD are also known by GOD.  We have an imperishable spirit within us because of JESUS, because HE came for us.

Today, put on the armor of GOD in the right here and now because we need it so in this tough world.  We are HIS ambassadors here – for now!  We are HIS representatives of grace and mercy in every way and in every situation we encounter.  We walk in HIS imperishable grace.  And that grace alone will carry us one day to our not yet place…….our forever home!

COLOSSIANS 1: 16   “FOR BY HIM ALL THINGS WERE CREATED IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH, VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE, WHETHER THRONES OR DOMINIONS OR RULERS OR AUTHORITIES – ALL THINGS WERE CREATED THROUGH HIM AND FOR HIM.”
