CHRIST OVER CONTROL

LET CHRIST CONTROL YOUR WORLD

The world give us an allusion of control.  We may think we have things under our control, but we don’t.  And often it doesn’t take much for GOD to get our attention in this matter.

Be still long enough today to hear HIS voice for you and to see HIM working around you, because the world is crumbling, so be still and know.  Being still long enough needs to happen to put our lives in perspective and it’s this:

GOD IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING

We can find evidence of this from the very beginning when GOD created everything.  The HOLY Trinity existed before time began and THEY were there before us……….

GENESIS 1: 26   “THEN GOD SAID, LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE, AFTER OUR LIKENESS.”

Did you notice the plural?  The US?  This is and was the GOD of the universe in HIS sovereign control making man and woman in HIS image and setting things in motion and when GOD did, HE saw that it was all good.

CHRIST WAS THERE FROM THE BEGINNING IN CONTROL

From the beginning to our end, GOD is in control even when we see the world crumbling around us.  So even when:

  • the doctor is needed, CHRIST is in control
  • wars break out, CHRIST is in control
  • financial markets crash, CHRIST is in control
  • floods, hurricanes and volcanoes come, CHRIST is in control

CHRIST IS OVER OUR VERY OWN CONTROL………NOW AND FOREVER.  Be still long enough for HIM to take you by the hand and guide you……..ask HIM to, plead with HIM, pray and ask HIM and draw near to HIM.  

ROMANS 8: 9   “YOU, HOWEVER, ARE NOT IN THE FLESH BUT IN THE SPIRIT, IF IN FACT THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS IN YOU.  ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST DOES NOT BELONG TO HIM.”

We belong to HIM, controlled by CHRIST.  Often I am happy that HE is in control.  There is too much going on around me, to worry about it all so much.  And HE doesn’t want us to worry in the first place.  HE wants us to trust HIM above all we know and believe.

CHOOSE CHRIST INSTEAD OF CONTROL

When we let go and let GOD, then we are free.  Our souls are free of the burdens that shouldn’t be there in the first place.  Today place all your cares upon HIM, because HE cares for you!  Let GOD take control of your life and watch how things change.  Place all you know into HIS capable HANDS.  Let HIM be your ultimate guide in all you do and accomplish.  Because HIS grace of control is a gift.  So receive it!

PSALM 73:  23-24   “NEVERTHELESS, I AM CONTINUALLY WITH YOU; YOU HOLD MY RIGHT HAND.  YOU GUIDE ME WITH YOUR COUNSEL, AND AFTERWARD YOU WILL RECEIVE ME TO GLORY.”

GOD is and was and always will be in control so be still today and know it.  Choose CHRIST over whatever it is you are trying to control in your life……..and let HIM set you free!

PSALM 75:  3   “WHEN THE EARTH TOTTERS, AND ALL ITS INHABITANTS IT IS I WHO KEEP STEADY ITS PILLARS.”

  1. You’re so right: God’s control is a gift for us. I am compelled to remember that several times a day, when things don’t go “my way.” His way is better, His timing is better. I just put myself aside and praise Him. 😊

  3. Amen 🙏🏽. Yes He is in control , we know that but can at times not live like He truly is and scramble in our own strength and try to make things happen in our own timing. A great reminder. Thank you Maxine.

  5. The idea that “we are not in the flesh but in the Spirit” (Romans 8:9) serves as a powerful reminder of our identity in Christ. It’s a reminder that our control is limited, but Christ’s control is perfect and complete. Letting go of our attempts to control everything and choosing to trust in Christ’s guidance can indeed bring a sense of freedom and peace.

    Thank you for this inspiring message. It’s a timely reminder of the peace and stability we find in Christ, especially when we let go of our need to control and instead rely on His perfect leadership.
