So what does faithful in a few small things mean? The Scripture in Matthew 25: 21 says this:
“YOU HAVE BEEN FIATHFUL OVER A LITTLE; I WILL SET YOU OVER MUCH.”
Let us be as faithful as we can be in those things we can use for the Kingdom. The little things can become big things for us. And it’s the little things that are the true foundation for the weightier things that get put upon us.
Faithful over a little can mean anything really, like just showing up, parenting and all that goes into it, cleaning, teaching, Bible studies, praying and the list can go on and on. We tend to get stuck on all the big things, forgetting what lies in front of us, all those little details that we should not overlook.
Our GOD knows and understands the little. HE sees us and HE looks for the faithful. So, even our GOD manages in the little……..
ISAIAH 28: 10 “HE TELLS US EVERYTHING OVER AND OVER – ONE LINE AT A TIME, ONE LINE AT A TIME, A LITTLE HERE AND A LITTLE THERE.”
Maybe we need to pay attention more to the little, because it is there always in front of us. The little things that no one sees us doing except GOD are just the right and good things we should remain faithful in.
Faithful over a little can mean faithful over our internal beliefs – being true to our faith. And maybe our faith is as small as a mustard seed, but GOD knows that too.
LUKE 17: 6 “AND THE LORD SAID, ‘IF YOU HAD FAITH LIKE A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, YOU COULD SAY TO THIS MULBERRY TREE, BE UPROOTED AND PLANTED IN THE SEA AND IT WOULD OBEY YOU.”
Being faithful in the small does effect the bigger things. I want to do the small things in my life well and the only way to do that is to remain faithful in my thoughts, words and actions. It doesn’t always matter who sees, what matters is that JESUS sees!
Pay attention today to those little things, those small things, because they are important and not to be taken lightly. We should embrace this, do it well and remain as faithful as we can, all with HIS help and guiding hand. We learn much when we remain faithful, so much more than when we are scattered and unfaithful.
JESUS who is our faithful Savior is our example to follow. And what a wonderful faithful GOD HE is! So love the LORD today with all your heart, even if it feels like a little.
LUKE 16: 10 “ONE WHO IS FAITHFUL IN A VERY LITTLE IS ALSO FAITHFUL IN MUCH…….”

Love this Maxine. Such a good reminder to
be faithful with the little things. He sees all we do and He wants us to be diligent and faithful with what He has placed in our hands in that time and season of our lives.
Blessings 💙

God gives us only what we can handle with Him. I hate to fail Him, but maybe lots of people are okay with that.
As one of my friends likes to say, quoting (I think) Elizabeth Eliot, ” Just do the next thing.”

Amen and I don’t like to fail HIM either, and when I do, cause I am far from perfect, oh I just feel terrible!!

The verse from Matthew 25:21 resonates deeply—it shows how God values our faithfulness in the seemingly insignificant tasks. Whether it’s in our roles as parents, in our work, or in our personal devotion to prayer and study, every small act done faithfully builds a foundation for greater responsibilities and blessings in God’s Kingdom.
I love how you highlight that God sees and understands the importance of these small things. It’s reassuring to know that even when our faith feels as small as a mustard seed, God recognizes and honors it. The analogy from Luke 17:6 beautifully illustrates this truth—that our faith, no matter how small, can move mountains.
Be Blessed and Continue to be a Blessing.

Our HOLY GOD knows all we have been through and going through. HE loves us in a way we may never understand until we reach Heaven. But I see HIM in the little details of my life and there is NO DOUBT HE IS THERE! We just have to keep our eyes open and continually look! YOU ARE LOVED!
