SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

DWELL IN THE “I DON’T KNOW”

Dwelling in the “I don’t know” can be a comfort or a hindrance depending on the situation you are in.  But it really can be a comfort when you know that GOD’s HAND is still upon you because HE has you right where HE wants you to be…….

ISAIAH 49: 2   “IN THE SHADOW OF HIS HAND HE HID ME.”

GOD does hide things from us for a reason, and it is ok if we don’t understand why.  It’s the dwelling in the “I don’t know” that you have to somehow come to terms with.  And we do that by remembering how GOD has answered us in the past.  I can look back and see that HIS path, and HIS guidance really were the best thing for me and for my family.  So now I trust HIS wisdom more than ever and when I am in a season of the “I don’t know” I actually like it because I know that GOD is taking me in a new and exciting direction.  HE knows best!  Our FATHER in Heaven knows best!  Take that and embrace that with all heart and soul.

ISAIAH 48: 6   “FROM THIS TIME FORTH I ANNOUNCE TO YOU NEW THINGS, HIDDEN THINGS THAT YOU HAVE NOT KNOWN.”

Because HE never let’s us go and because GOD is so faithful, dwelling in the uncertain is all for our own sake……..actually it’s to rescue us from ourselves!  And HIS glory is truly what matters, not ours.

ISAIAH 48: 11   “MY GLORY I WILL NOT GIVE TO ANOTHER.”

HIS plans for us can seem like a mystery, but it’s ok to dwell in the uncertain because then we put all we have and know on a GOD who loves us dearly.

WE MAY BE LIVING IN THE UNCERTAIN……..BUT GOD ISN’T!

1 CORINTHIANS 2: 7   “NO, WE DECLARE GOD’S WISDOM, A MYSTERY THAT HAS BEEN HIDDEN AND THAT GOD DESTINED FOR OUR GLORY BEFORE TIME BEGAN.”

GOD never lives in the uncertain like we do.  Dwelling in the uncertain, in that “I don’t know” period, turns us to GOD when things and people here just don’t cut it for us.  And when we dwell this way, GOD waits for us too!

ISAIAH 30: 18   “THE LORD LONGS TO BE GRACIOUS TO YOU, AND THEREFORE HE WAITS ON HIGH TO HAVE COMPASSION ON YOU.”

GOD longs to be gracious to us, so dwell in the unknown for a bit and take hold of HIS glorious grace for you.  It’s ok to not know and it’s ok to let our gracious GOD take hold of us in HIS loving HANDS, because HE loves us and longs for us too!

If you are dwelling today in the uncertain just know this……..YOU ARE LOVED!

LAMENTATIONS  3:  21-22  “BUT THIS I CALL TO MIND, AND THEREFORE I HAVE HOPE; THE STEADFAST LOVE OF THE LORD NEVER CEASES, HIS MERCIES NEVER COME TO AN END.”

Thank you for your comforting words. Embracing the unknown can be tough, but it’s reassuring knowing God’s hand guides us. Reflecting on His faithfulness and wisdom helps us face uncertainty with hope. Your reminder from Isaiah is encouraging—God’s steadfast love and mercy offer grace in uncertain times. It’s comforting to trust His mysterious plans rooted in love. We’re truly blessed to be loved by such a faithful God.
