This being Holy Week, let’s remember what JESUS DID FOR US:

JESUS CHOSE THE NAILS FOR US

If we think, in any way that we chose GOD, we have it all wrong.  It was never our idea, only HIS.

JOHN 15: 19   “……..BUT I CHOSE YOU OUT OF THIS WORLD, THEREFORE THE WORLD HATES YOU.”

And that is what is so amazing about HIS free gift of grace!  If your eyes are opened to JESUS and HIS word is in your heart, then HE chose you.  For whatever a good GOD has a reason for choosing such sinful people like you and me, I will never understand.  But when JESUS walked the earth and interacted with mankind, HIS very own compassion chose us because HE knew we needed to be saved and loved more than anything.

So the LAMB OF GOD, WHO TAKES AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD, chose to forever love us and to sacrifice for us on choosing the CROSS.  HE very well could have turned away and why not, HE IS GOD!  But HE sacrificed HIMSELF on the CROSS for us and in the end, making full payment for our sin HE said words of comfort:

JOHN 19: 30   “WHEN JESUS HAD RECEIVED THE SOUR WINE, HE SAID “IT IS FINISHED”, AND HE BOWED HIS HEAD AND GAVE UP HIS SPIRIT.”

JESUS finished HIS work on earth and fulfilled all the requirements of Scripture too.  HE is the payment once and for all.  

And if you think on that Friday, in the middle of all that mess and confusion, JESUS never waivered, HE chose us over everything and HE chose the CROSS and the NAILS, because HE chose to die in our place for our sins.

THE PERFECT LAMB OF GRACE CHOSE US BECAUSE OF HIS IMMEASURABLE LOVE FOR ALL OF MANKIND.

On the third day…….HE rose from the grave and HIS first words to us were:

JOHN 20: 21  “PEACE BE WITH YOU.”

JESUS came in peace and HE left us peace, a peace beyond all our understanding.  HE leaves us this peace of mind and heart until we are one day with HIM for all of eternity.  This is the good news of our wonderful Savior, JESUS CHRIST!

2 PETER 3: 14-15   “THEREFORE, BELOVED, SINCE YOU ARE WAITING FOR THESE,  BE DILIGENT TO BE FOUND BY HIM WITHOUT SPOT OR BLEMISH, AND AT PEACE.  AND COUNT THE PATIENCE OF OUR LORD, AS SALVATION…….”
