REMEMBER TODAY

REMEMBER……….

We tend to remember things constantly in our own minds.  A person who has hope is in the habit of remembering.  One who keeps hope alive, keeps memories alive.

As we age, our memory seems to fade, but we must continue to remember.  It’s funny how for me when I remember specific times GOD has spoken to me in HIS way, or kept me from a car accident, or turned a situation into a blessing – those memories are so clearly etched into my mind!  Isn’t it all so we can remind ourselves and share with others the GOD we believe in?

We will have happy memories of good things we prayed for or we will have grateful memories of the bad things we survived.

PSALM 63: 6  “……..WHEN I REMEMBER YOU UPON MY BED AND MEDITATE ON YOU IN THE WATCHES OF THE NIGHT.”

If we constantly remember what the LORD has done for us, shouldn’t our hope increase?  And not decrease?

ROMANS 5: 20  “NOW THE LAW CAME IN TO INCREASE THE TRESPASS, BUT WHERE SIN  INCREASED, GRACE ABOUNDED ALL THE MORE…….”

So our hope is in GOD’S immeasurable grace for us and for our future.

The GOD of all hope is worthy of our remembrance so that our own hope doesn’t waiver in the midst of a crisis.

REMIND YOURSELF OF THE GOOD THINGS GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU IN THE PAST BECAUSE HE IS WORTH REMEMBERING EVERY SINGLE DAY.

PSALM 77:  11  “I WILL REMEMBER THE WORKS OF THE LORD; SURELY I WILL REMEMBER YOUR WONDERS OF OLD.”

In the remembering of HIM, know that GOD always remembers you too!  HE has not forgotten you today!

JOHN 15: 20  “REMEMBER THE WORD THAT I SPOKE TO YOU…….”

Let’s remind ourselves and remember what JESUS did for us all………and how HE remembered us as HE hung on the Cross for all of our sins.

JESUS never forgot HIS mission and why HE died for us…….and we should never forget HIS sacrifice for us either!

PSALM 143: 5  “I REMEMBER THE DAYS OF LONG AGO; I MEDITATE ON ALL YOUR WORKS AND CONSIDER WHAT YOUR HANDS HAVE DONE.”

  1. Sometimes I think that’s what brings some of my past sins to remembrance: not so that I feel the guilt and shame again, but so that I can remember the goodness and forgiveness and grace of God in those circumstances, how He saved me, and how He changed me.
