Oh how these days in the New Year cause us to examine our hearts!  How many of us are willing to look inward with courage to see the sad state of our hearts and then ask GOD to change the sin there?

Let’s be real here, most of the time our sin problem is a heart problem.  Our hearts were made as vessels by GOD and it is what we fill them with that is oh so important.  We can either fill them with JESUS and HIS word, or we can fill them with the stuff of this world.  Which will we choose this New Year?

FILL YOUR HEART WITH JESUS AND FIND YOUR LIFE!

Your vessel of a heart can be changed and rearranged, but only JESUS can do this.  Your very own heart whether broken or healed has much potential.  Remember it is a vessel to be…….filled.

EZEKIEL 36: 26  “I WILL GIVE YOU A NEW HEART AND PUT A NEW SPIRIT IN YOU; I WILL REMOVE FROM YOU YOUR HEART OF STONE AND GIVE YOU A HEART OF FLESH.”

Notice it is GOD who says HE will give us a new heart!  There isn’t anything we can do except receive HIS gracious provision and wisdom with humbleness of heart. 

When we recognize that our hearts are vessels, then we are openly willing to receive HIS love, forgiveness and mercy…….

HEBREWS 10: 22  “LET US DRAW NEAR TO GOD WITH A SINCERE HEART AND WITH THE FULL ASSURANCE THAT FAITH BRINGS, HAVING OUR HEARTS SPRINKLED TO CLEANSE US FROM A GUILTY CONSCIENCE AND HAVING OUR BODIES WASHED WITH PURE WATER.”

Let us draw near………with a sincere heart.  It’s one thing to have a heart after the world and quite another to have a heart seeking after GOD! 

Let’s begin this New Year looking at our heart’s current condition and opening it up to HIS salvation and renewal, being a vessel to receive whatever GOD pours into it.  What is our heart condition today?  What needs to go?  What can we release into HIS hands to let HIM remake and redeem?  Let GOD speak to you today, so HE can remake your heart…….. a heart to be more like HIS!

DEUTERONOMY 30: 6  “THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL CIRCUMCISE YOUR HEARTS AND THE HEARTS OF YOUR DESCENDANTS, SO THAT YOU MAY LOVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND LIVE.
