With the New Year approaching, is there one thing you want to leave behind in 2023? Coming to the end of this year should cause us to think on our lives and how we have grown in the past year with GOD by our sides.
Because GOD wants us to be intentional and purposeful in all things, how we live and how we walk the walk……..
PHILIPPIANS 2: 12 “……..CONTINUE TO WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.”
Let us be mindful and examine ourselves and let go of what keeps us from walking closely with the LORD. There are many things that weigh heavy upon our souls……..but have we given them over to the LORD? Could there be that one thing you need to give up to the LORD and leave it behind you, trusting HIM better and more fully in the New Year? Can we let go like we let go of a past year? Trust your troubles and heartaches into HIS capable hands and embrace this now:
JEREMIAH 6: 16 “STAND AT THE CROSSROADS AND LOOK; ASK FOR THE ANCIENT PATHS, ASK WHERE THE GOOD WAY IS, AND WALK IN IT, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.”
Ahh, rest! We all want it, crave it and seek after it don’t we? But how can we ever find it, if the very thing that we cannot give up to GOD, is the very thing that steals our soul’s rest? A New Year is like standing at a crossroad. Let’s look, ask and then walk in it. Walk in HIS wisdom for you that is only offered in the Holy Scriptures and ignore the worldly so-called wisdom that so many seek.
THIS PAST YEAR WILL SOON BE BEHIND US, BUT IT DOES NOT DEFINE US!
There can be and there are with GOD, new beginnings! We are a new creation in CHRIST! Let us release old habits and thoughts that are not working for us and seek a better way……..HIS way!
GOD IS ALWAYS DOING A NEW THING IN YOU……..SO LET HIM!
Even now, GOD makes a way for us with purpose and transformation of character. It just so happens to be one of HIS many graces…….. let’s embrace this one in the New Year.
NEW YEAR = NEW BEGINNINGS AND TRANSFORMATION!
Charles Spurgeon says this: “you can never be the same after the unveiling of a truth.” Into the New Year let’s grab hold of GOD’S truth like never before.
ISAIAH 43: 18-19 “FORGET THE FORMER THINGS; DO NOT DWELL ON THE PAST. SEE, I AM DOING A NEW THING! NOW IT SPRINGS UP; DO YOU NOT PERCEIVE IT?”
So in this New Year, let HIS truth do a good work within you and leave the falsehoods of this world behind. If you don’t do anything in the New Year, leave that one thing behind that is holding you back from living in HIS purpose for you. Make space for HIS new thing that is coming your way. Because when you do, HIS amazing truth becomes your truth and from this moment forward you become a true and dedicated disciple and lover of JESUS CHRIST. With HIM all things are possible!
