HEAVENSREEF

When the Shepherds saw Mary and Joseph and the Baby JESUS, they rejoiced because of what they had seen and heard.  And we should too! 

An angel visited the Shepherds while they watched their sheep in the fields and an angel said to them:

LUKE 2:  11-12  “TODAY IN THE CITY OF DAVID A SAVIOR WAS BORN FOR YOU, WHO IS THE MESSIAH, THE LORD.  THIS WILL BE THE SIGN FOR YOU:  YOU WILL FIND A BABY WRAPPED TIGHTLY IN CLOTH AND LYING IN A MANGER.”

And so the Shepherds went on their journey and just as they were told, they found the Holy Family and were in awe of the newborn KING. 

What can we glean from this story?  That GOD’S word alone can be trusted because anything we read in HIS Holy word was and will be exactly as it is told to us!

Simeon’s prophecy is another example…….

LUKE 2: 26  “IT HAD BEEN REVEALED TO HIM BY THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT HE WOULD NOT SEE DEATH BEFORE HE SAW THE LORD’S MESSIAH.”

And sure enough, Simeon encountered JESUS and HIS parents in the temple and raising JESUS in his arms, Simeon said this:

LUKE 2: 29  “SOVEREIGN LORD, NOW LET YOUR SERVANT DIE IN PEACE, AS YOU HAVE PROMISED.”

Just as Simeon was told, his eyes had seen JESUS, the Messiah, the salvation for all!

GOD’S WORD IS ALWAYS JUST AS WE ARE TOLD.

We don’t need to question or doubt HIS Holy word to us, we just need to rest in it and embrace it!  Because HIS words are forever true and will never fail us.  Let us rest today in anything we read from the LORD because so much of what we read in the world is untrue.

2 SAMUEL 7: 28 “LORD GOD, YOU ARE GOD, YOUR WORDS ARE TRUE…….”

Because HIS words alone are inerrant, faithful and true, let us remember that all that we read now and in the future will be just as GOD says.   Let us trust in HIS amazing words for us because they are just as we are told!

REVELATION 21: 5  “HE ALSO SAID, WRITE BECAUSE THESE WORDS ARE FAITHFUL AND TRUE.”
