Could we, HIS people this season get Christmas right?  What I mean by this is, could we forget all the presents and parties and cookies and stuffing ourselves and ponder the BABE in the Manger with holy wonder just a little longer?

BECAUSE JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THIS SEASON, HE IS WORTHY AND HOLY.

And as HIS people, a people who have been rescued, we should honor HIM with all praise and wonder and glorious song.

REVELATION 4: 8  “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY WHO WAS, WHO IS, AND WHO IS TO COME.”

This season only JESUS deserves all glory and honor so let your priority and worship be to HIM.

DON’T LET THE WORLD DICTATE THIS CHRISTMAS FOR YOU.

Don’t let the world define your Christmas.  We have been rescued and the ONE who rescued us is HOLY and deserves all the honor and glory.  Even all of creation cries out that HE is worthy!

LUKE 1: 74-75  “SINCE WE HAVE BEEN RESCUED FROM THE HAND OF OUR ENEMIES, TO SERVE HIM WITHOUT FEAR IN HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, IN HIS PRESENCE ALL OUR DAYS.”

In this season of HOLY wonder, love came down to rescue all of mankind, to save us from our sins.

May we be among the wise ones, the ones who still seek JESUS this season.  May we wonder about the Christmas story and it’s implications for us.

LUKE 2: 11  “FOR THERE IS BORN TO YOU THIS DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVID A SAVIOR, WHO IS CHRIST THE LORD.”

Oh, what a SAVIOR!  Oh, what a HOLY GOD! Oh, that HE was born and walked this earth so we could be known by HIM.  HE loved us this much!  And for this reason, we should have a HOLY WONDER of HIM this Christmas.

Be amazed at what the Shepherds did so very long ago.  They were lowly and keeping watch over their sheep in the quiet of the night when an angel visited them to proclaim the birth of a HOLY CHILD.

LUKE 2: 15  “LET US NOW GO TO BETHLEHEM AND SEE THIS THING THAT HAS COME TO PASS, WHICH THE LORD HAS MADE KNOWN TO US.”

Let us go and see……. let us be wise and seek…….JESUS.  And let us be reminded of this HOLY GOD, the GOD of wonder and light.  Don’t forget HIM this season in the midst of all your busyness and all your comings and goings.  HE didn’t have to come down from Heaven, but HE did, because HE is a HOLY GOD with HOLY promises that were fulfilled and still are being fulfilled.    And HE promised to save sinners, just like you and me, because HE is a gracious GOD and oh so worthy of our honor and praise.

MATTHEW 1: 21  “SHE WILL GIVE BIRTH TO A SON, AND YOU ARE TO NAME HIM JESUS, BECAUSE HE WILL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS.”
