I have a sweet and wonderful friend who tells me each morning that she is “sipping and thinking of me.” We started with this endearing text exchange with one another quite a while ago and we still do it. Just knowing she is sipping her coffee and reading her devotions makes me feel that she is close, even though she lives in another state. Let us uphold one another as much as we can, especially in these hard times and I am twice blessed to have a friend who upholds me each morning!
Recently my friend said these words of wisdom to me…….
WE UPHOLD EACH OTHER WITH GOD’S HELP DON’T WE FRIEND?”
And there it is! To uphold one another, each with GOD’S help is part of HIS plan. HE gave us one another for a reason and HIS reason is so that we would glorify HIM in the midst of relationships.
Relationships can be messy, complicated and wonderful. But we all struggle one way or another with them. We all have been deeply hurt by someone. That is why today, in our chaotic world we should uphold one another all the more! Let us encourage and love one another with all the grace that GOD has shown us.
And in our times of deep need, our GOD upholds us like no one else can. Because everyone at one time or another feels very alone in their struggles……..
PSALM 37: 17 “FOR THE ARMS OF THE WICKED SHALL BE BROKEN, BUT THE LORD UPHOLDS THE RIGHTEOUS.”
GOD is a strong tower for those who are hurting……..HE upholds us with HIS right hand.
PSALM 20: 6 “NOW I KNOW THAT THE LORD SAVES HIS ANOINTED; HE ANSWERS HIM FROM HIS HOLY HEAVEN WITH THE SAVING POWER OF HIS RIGHT HAND.”
And so we are saved and we are upheld by our glorious GOD……..remember this today when you uphold another.
PSALM 145: 14 “THE LORD HELPS THE FALLEN AND LIFTS THOSE BENT BENEATH THEIR LOADS.”
