Life gets messy sometimes and so do relationships.  It is a reality and it is a given.  Right when we think all is going along so smoothly, then boom, a huge change happens and we all grapple with the wanting things to go back to normal.

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MESS THERE IS A MESSAGE.

Notice the word mess.age?  Follow along HIS message for us…….

1 JOHN 1: 5  “THIS IS THE MESSAGE WE HAVE HEARD FROM HIM AND PROCLAIM TO YOU, THAT GOD IS LIGHT AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL.”

Paul David Tripp says in his book New Morning Mercies that “GOD has mercy for that mess.”  The mess in all of our lives is the mess of sin.

Jesus came to deliver us from all our messy sin.  And I am so thankful I have a Savior who understands all my mess, my messy thoughts and right now my very messy life.  Since my husband was diagnosed with blood cancer I honestly don’t know which end is up sometimes and because of that I do get all self-absorbed in my own mess.

GOD HAS MERCY FOR THAT MESS.

“PSALM 145: 9  “THE LORD IS GOOD TO ALL, AND HIS MERCY IS OVER ALL THAT HE HAS MADE.”

His mercy is over all…….all creation, all your mess and all of mine!  What a wonderful GOD and what a wonderful Savior. 

In this season of thanks, let us be forever grateful that HE meets us in our mess…….with HIS mercy.  Because of HIS truth and love, HE is forever gracious to us all. 

And admitting that we live in the mess of sin is powerful to our healing and repentance, giving us hope for the future.   The hard part is living in that mess, but the easy part is knowing GOD understands and loves us anyway.  So if your life is quite messy right now, just know that GOD’S immeasurable mercy is there for you, right in the middle of all the mess!!
