FEED FAITH – STARVE FEARS

Let’s face it…….we all have fears. Today more than ever with the world out of control our fears can take hold of us and render us useless, not only to ourselves but to those around us.

FEAR……..sit quiet enough and let it take hold, now name it! What is your deepest fear? The only way to conquer your fear, is to face it. There are those real fears and there are those imagined fears too, so which is it for you?

BE BETTER OF LETTING GO OF YOUR FEAR THAN YOUR FAITH!

Faith over fear. Faith conquers fear. Faith looks fear square in the eye and says…….I can conquer you because I have GOD on my side.

PSALM 27: 1 “THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION – WHOM SHALL I FEAR?”

I don’t know about you, but I desire to have that rock solid faith that faces anything that comes my way with strength and courage. In order to get there though, we have to live a life that is tested over and over. When one problem comes, another is right around the corner and so life just goes that way.

Today, I am facing my fears over that ugly word: cancer. I have come to hate it, especially since it has visited our home twice now. Through my own cancer GOD reminded me of where my faith truly was and the only way I moved forward was to place the fear of death truly in the LORD’S hands. Now my husband is facing an incurable cancer and I fear once again the unknown of what is coming…….it’s the not knowing how all this will go with him that is bothering me left and right. I cannot see into the future, but I do know the ONE who holds my future!

ROMANS 10:17 “CONSEQUENTLY, FAITH COMES FROM HEARING THE MESSAGE, AND THE MESSAGE IS HEARD THROUGH THE WORD OF CHRIST.”

And there it is……..fear not the words of men, but fear the LORD and hear HIS message to you. HE wants you to know that HE is your ROCK to stand upon when you are on shaky ground. HE is your ROCK of refuge and strength…….a strong tower and fortress.

Turn your face from what you fear most, and turn to GOD. Listen for HIS quiet voice. Sit at HIS feet and read HIS eternal words that will bring your soul peace. Don’t ever fear what is around the corner, because CHRIST is already there for you…….HE knows what is coming your way and HE has plans for you.

WHEN THE WORST HAPPENS, HIS LOVE IS ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU!

Because of HIS love for me……..I can step out in courage and be brave enough to face that fear and put it behind me. I don’t want to be a fearful human being. I want to walk my days in confidence and strength, even though underneath I know I am fully broken. GOD is my strength and confidence, an ever present help in all my troubles! Keep your faith strong Christian…….GOD wants that for us. GOD wants us to rely totally on HIM…….for all our needs.
