SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

The good LORD gave us four seasons to enjoy, but when you think about it, we go through many seasons in our lives!   Our purpose can lead us to many different opportunities, but at the same time we should desire to make each season, no matter how difficult, significant in our life journey.

GOD DOESN’T WASTE A THING AND WE SHOULDN’T EITHER!

I recently went for my yearly physical and my primary care doctor hadn’t seen me since breast cancer.  I wrote down my list of all my surgeries, radiation and different tests and appointments and that alone filled one whole page!

But my realization was this……..wow, what a season!  Even though it was difficult, GOD walked so very closely beside me and I always knew HE was there for me especially when you are laying all alone on a radiation table!

I know in my heart that I intentionally walked each day abiding with HIM, just because I knew HE alone saw and knew all I was going through…….HE is so faithful to us!  In all seasons, we must be ready to give a reason why we believe what we do.

1 TIMOTHY 4: 2  “…….PREACH THE WORD; BE READY IN SEASON AND OUT  OF SEASON……”

There are seasons where we are on top of the world, but what about those seasons where our lives are turned upside down?  We can gracefully walk in HIS will, no matter how difficult and show others WHO is getting us through!

DANIEL 2: 21  “HE CHANGES TIMES AND SEASONS; HE REMOVES KINGS AND SETS UP KINGS; HE GIVES WISDOM TO THE WISE AND KNOWLEDGE TO THOSE WHO HAVE UNDERSTANDING.”

My best takeaway from my cancer journey is that the LORD in all of HIS amazing grace, helped me make sense of it all and to completely rest in HIS peace.   I still might have a cancer return someday, but for now, in this current season, I can see all HIS leading and teaching me what HE needed me to know.  I am different than I was before cancer and I know that is a good thing.  Thank you LORD, thank you for my cancer season and thank you for all the seasons to come!

PSALM 104: 19  “HE MADE THE MOON TO MARK THE SEASONS; THE SUN KNOWS WHEN TO SET.”
