SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

Over time in our walk with JESUS a spirit of indebtedness is worked right into us.

WE OWE JESUS OUR WHOLE LIVES!

No one else died for our sins…….there is no one in all of history who sacrificed HIS life on the Cross for us.  There is no one who spread HIS arms out on the Cross and took the nails for us…….except JESUS.

Once we realize the sacrifice JESUS made for us, a spirit of indebtedness takes over.  We desire to live for HIM, because HE died just for us.

Over time we become less about ourselves and care more of others by putting them above and before ourselves.

PHILIPPIANS 2: 3  “DO NOTHING FROM SELFISH AMBITION OR CONCEIT, BUT IN HUMILITY COUNT OTHERS MORE SIGNIFICANT THAN YOURSELVES.”

While walking the earth, JESUS lived each day seeing everyone who crossed HIS path as more significant than HIMSELF.  HE never was about HIMSELF.  Instead HE was about HIS FATHER and with humble grace extended all HIS power and love to anyone around HIM.  HE said it was the sinners who needed a faithful SAVIOR.

The LORD has been faithful to us just by the fact that we woke up today!  For this alone it should stir that spirit within us, that feeling of indebtedness.  By faith we believe and follow and mature in the Holy WORD of GOD, which works it’s way into us and shows us truly what CHRIST did for us!

WE SERVE OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST RATHER THAN SERVING THIS WORLD.

JESUS IS OUR EXAMPLE…….HE shows us how to live in the here and now and HIS way always is the better way.  If you obey HIS commands then you know this……..to know HIM is to love HIM.  And to love HIM is to follow and be indebted to HIM in so many ways.

In this spirit of indebtedness we understand who we are and whose we are, and we realize our lives our useless without our beautiful SAVIOR who died so we could live life abundantly.

1 JOHN 2: 2  “HE IS THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS, AND NOT FOR OURS ONLY BUT ALSO FOR THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD.”

Not just for us, but for everyone a gift of grace never to be taken for granted.  Do others see and hear your indebtedness to CHRIST?  Is this evident in your life and to those around you?  Stop and consider this today……..

REVELATION 5: 9  “…….FOR YOU WERE SLAIN, AND BY YOUR BLOOD YOU RANSOMED PEOPLE FOR GOD FROM EVERY TRIBE AND LANGUAGE AND PEOPLE AND NATION.”
