HEAVENSREEF

We all have something or someone we highly value more than anything.   I do have one string of real pearls from my Mom that are still beautiful today.  But I value them more because she wore them…….they were hers.

What we value and where we place our value is important in life.   Oh let us not value what we have here on this earth more highly than our relationship with GOD!

MATTHEW 13: 45-46  “AGAIN, THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS LIKE A MERCHANT IN SEARCH OF FINE PEARLS, WHO, ON FINDING ONE PEARL OF GREAT VALUE, WENT AND SOLD ALL THAT HE HAD AND BOUGHT IT.”

JESUS in the book of Matthew speaks of the kingdom of heaven and compares it to this merchant seeking beautiful and fine pearls.  When he found one of great price, he sold all he had and bought it.  This pearl was highly valued in his eyes.

WHAT IS YOUR PEARL OF GREAT PRICE?

If we think vertically, do we value what JESUS values?  Or do we let the world define what we should value?   This world belongs to satan so things that are in high esteem should be meaningless to us……..fame, and fortune.   Yes, we have to live and have our being in this world, but we don’t belong here and our hearts should value GOD and HIS kingdom.

Reading scripture daily allows HIS values to become ours……. if we seek HIM with all heart, soul and mind.  Do we put all we know into perspective?  Do we live for that one pearl of great price?  People say don’t put all your eggs in one basket, and I say all mine go into GOD’S hands.  HE is my priority, my all and all, the LORD of my life.

The kingdom of heaven is a special treasure, but can only be found when we believe and look for it.  When our eyes are opened, we see the true value of HIS salvation, HIS saving graces.  JESUS asked those around HIM to come to HIM and to follow HIM.  HIS disciples knew JESUS was their treasure, their all and all.

HIS SALVATION IS A PEARL OF GREAT PRICE!

At the end of the age there will be those who hang onto this world with all they have.   And there will be those who believe in JESUS that will go to their heavenly home, a home of great price.

REVELATION 21: 21  “AND THE TWELVE GATES WERE TWELVE PEARLS, EACH OF THE GATES MADE OF A SINGLE PEARL, AND THE STREET OF THE CITY WAS PURE GOLD, LIKE TRANSPARENT GLASS.”

What a beautiful thought to know there will be pearls in Heaven……and they probably are more gorgeous  than anything we have ever seen here!

Take some time today to search your heart……..search and see that the LORD is such an amazing GOD that while HE was here on earth, HE told us exactly what to value more than life itself!  What a treasure to know, what a beautiful treasure HE is!

JOB 28: 18  “NO MENTION SHALL BE MADE OF CORAL OR OF CRYSTAL; THE PRICE OF WISDOM IS ABOVE PEARLS.”
