All we can do is hope for the best……..how often have we heard that phrase said by many around us.  The world’s hope is different from a believer’s hope.  Mainly because our hope is in JESUS CHRIST. 

I had a friend a few years ago whose husband had left her, so she chose the word HOPE to hold onto that year.  It got her through those lonely, uncertain days.  She believed that GOD would restore her marriage and sure enough after some time, her husband returned.  Now I know this isn’t always the case for everyone, but someone with hope just doesn’t give up or give in.  Rather than giving in to what the world tells us, that all is hopeless, we can hold onto the hope in CHRIST.

THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE FOR US IN THE NEXT DAY

I’ve always said, oh what a difference 24 hours can make.  But even looking beyond that, JESUS is our hope for our futures, for the heavenly KINGDOM, for a better life than the here and now.

ROMANS 8: 24  “FOR IN THIS HOPE WE WERE SAVED.”

In this hope………we are saved.  Our hope for tomorrow and to be with JESUS will never die if we keep vertical with all our thoughts and prayers.   So where is your hope today?  We can wish things were better, but having hope for tomorrow goes much deeper.  Hope is a soul desire……..a desire for what doesn’t seem possible at the moment. 

ROMANS 15: 13  “MAY THE GOD OF HOPE FILL YOU WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE IN BELIEVING, SO THAT BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT YOU MAY ABOUND IN HOPE.”

CHRIST is our hope, our peace and joy and HE surrounds us with it so that we will abound in all of it!  I pray today friend that you haven’t lost your hope in your life.  But I do believe, life gets hard, really hard, so that JESUS can show us that HE is our only hope and our rock to stand upon.

No matter how bad today might be, tomorrow is another day, and there are new mercies from HIM in the morning……the sun will still rise and the earth will still turn.  Our LORD is faithful and true, always to be counted upon in all of this and it is why we should trust HIM in our hope every single day of our lives.

Don’t let anyone dash your hopes!  And don’t let the ugly of the world steal your hope either, because we all are made for a better place.  So we hope, we desire and expect with confidence of all that CHRIST is.  HE truly is our secure and our ONE and only HOPE!

1 THESSALONIANS 2: 19  “AFTER ALL, WHAT GIVES US HOPE AND JOY, AND WHAT WILL BE OUR PROUD REWARD AND CROWN AS WE STAND BEFORE OUR LORD JESUS WHEN HE RETURNS?”
