Isn’t it a wonder that our GOD sees us? We have a Sovereign GOD that sees ever last detail of our lives, all our days, nights, weeks and years. HE sees all. Do we see HIM seeing us?
GENESIS 16: 13 “THEREAFTER, HAGAR USED ANOTHER NAME TO REFER TO THE LORD, WHO HAD SPOKEN TO HER. SHE SAID, “YOU ARE THE GOD WHO SEES ME. SHE ALSO SAID, “HAVE I TRULY SEEN THE ONE WHO SEES ME?”
Oh the amazing thought of the GOD who sees us! We can love that HE sees us or dread that HE sees all. When we are sinful, yes, we dread that HE saw our sin. So we cannot hide from HIM, no matter how hard we try……..because:
HE IS THE GOD OF SEEING
The LORD watches faithfully, always, now and forever. HE is the GOD who truly sees me and sees you too dear reader. HE knows and sees what you carry in your heart, whether it be joy or sadness. When we think no one else sees us, or knows us……..HE SEES!
Feel invisible? GOD sees you! Feel overlooked? GOD sees what happened. Feel broken? GOD sees your one shattered heart. GOD sees us because HE cares for us all.
MATTHEW 6: 6 “AND YOUR FATHER, WHO SEES WHAT IS DONE IN SECRET, WILL REWARD YOU.”
The LORD sees our hearts, looking to see the purity in them, seeing all the brokenness, strife, or joy that resides there……
MATTHEW 5: 8 “BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART, FOR THEY WILL SEE GOD.”
Keeping our hearts pure is not easy, because the days are evil and the culture has a way of drawing us in. Things are thrust upon us daily, but it is a choice to see and hear what we want. So what are you seeing? And what are you listening to? Pour into yourself, good and righteous things. Read HIS word, study it, consume it and memorize it. Live on it.
Because GOD sees all………what we do in secret and what we do out in the open. HE sees our integrity and character and our struggles and our besetting sins. HE sees us deep down, like none other. I don’t know about you, but I am grateful for this, knowing that HE knows me better than I know myself.
Let us pray…….pray for those who don’t see GOD seeing them. Because there are some people around us right now who cannot even see the light because the god of this age has blinded them so severely…….
2 CORINTHIANS 4: 4 “IN THEIR CASE THE god OF THIS WORLD HAS BLINDED THE MINDS OF THE UNBELIEVERS, TO KEEP THEM FROM SEEING THE LIGHT OF THE GOSPEL OF THE GLORY OF CHRIST, WHO IS THE IMAGE OF GOD.”
So if you see the GOD who sees you………then you are blessed! Because every human wants to be seen, to be understood and noticed. And our GOD sees and then redeems and qualifies us. HE works a miracle in our hearts and transforms us, by HIS grace to be one of HIS children, because HE sees.
And what a beautiful thought! HE sees us because HE loves us……..dearly. We are chosen and we are HIS. We are HIS because we believe. It’s really so simple and simple that HE sees our everything.
Take comfort today in the GOD who sees and be assured that HE cares all about you. Because HE is a good, good GOD! And know that you are so dearly loved!
PSALM 121: 5 “THE LORD HIMSELF WATCHES OVER YOU! THE LORD STANDS BESIDE YOU AS YOUR PROTECTIVE SHADE.
