Because today is Palm Sunday……..let’s reflect on what CHRIST did for us on the way to the Cross. HE remained faithful to the Father and faithful to the mission. Are we faithful too in those things for CHRIST?
YES, I will………I will follow you LORD JESUS all the days of my life. Is your faith somewhat shaky this morning? Questioning life? Is it an uncertain future for you? There were many in the Bible who struggled too, so we are not alone……..
MARK 9: 23-24 “IF YOU CAN? SAID JESUS. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE FOR ONE WHO BELIEVES. IMMEDIATELY THE BOY’S FATHER EXCLAIMED, “I DO BELIEVE; HELP ME OVERCOME MY UNBELIEF!”
Everything is possible……..to the one who believes. Let us today say “yes LORD”. Because GOD needs our yes and amen!
While there was a time we walked in darkness, GOD opened our eyes to the truth, even if it seems like a little for us, we just need to say “yes I will.”
Oh yes, I will honor YOU JESUS and love YOU all my days. I will read YOUR scriptures and embrace them with my heart. I will share YOUR truth with my circle of influence. And I will love YOU more than anyone or anything…….yes I will!
When we say yes to GOD’S invitation……….all things are possible to those who believe! All you need is a small faith, as small as a mustard seed. Because that seed is great and it will grow with time.
LUKE 17: 6 “IF YOU HAVE FAITH AS SMALL AS A MUSTARD SEED, YOU CAN SAY TO THIS MULBERRY TREE, ‘BE UPROOTED AND PLANTED IN THE SEA, AND IT WILL OBEY YOU.”

If our faith seems small……..then all we need is a big yes! Yes LORD, I will honor YOU. Yes LORD, I will follow YOU. YES LORD I recognize that YOU died on the Cross for me and for my sins! And thank you for YOUR sacrifice. YES…….I WILL…….HUMBLE MYSELF…….AND FOLLOW YOU…….ALL MY DAYS!
As you can imagine, we had good conversation in Sunday School about Jesus’ triumphal entry. We spoke of the path of obedience He took, all the way to the end, until it was “finished.”
We also have a path of obedience that God desires for us. When we walk that path, we are closest to His greatest blessings for us. We don’t know what those blessings will be until we obey (1 Cor 2.9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”). What does love look like? Jn 14.15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
And if we don’t obey, we will never know.

So so interesting you mentioned “IT IS FINISHED”! That is exactly what our sermon was on yesterday since we are in John 19 right now where Christ was Crucified!!! Adam so stressed that “it is finished” is something we need to remind ourselves of daily. That is why CHRIST came. FOR US!
