Since we are GOD’S people, we are a kingdom people.  We are other worldly, thinking and knowing that our life does not end here…….an eternal kingdom awaits us!   Oh what good news this is!  As believers we will live in CHRIST’S kingdom and share in that administration of that kingdom.  Just knowing this, that a better life awaits us, should fill our hearts with joy!

1 CHRONICLES 29: 11 “YOURS IS THE KINGDOM, O LORD, AND YOU ARE EXALTED AS HEAD ABOVE ALL.”

Let us promote HIS kingdom here, not doing any of it in vain, planting seeds of righteousness for our GOD.  HIS kingdom come, HIS will be done!

The body of Christ is HIS kingdom of word and deed………we are HIS priesthood, HIS hands and feet.  Being part of this kingdom means meeting regularly with other kingdom people.  Do not try to go it alone…….it never works.  We need one another in the kingdom because we can encourage and love on one another when the world does not.

1 PETER 2: 9  “BUT YOU ARE A CHOSEN RACE, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR HIS OWN POSSESSION, THAT YOU MAY PROCLAIM THE EXCELLENCIES OF HIM WHO CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT.”

You see, HE called you!  Have you heard HIS call to be part of HIS kingdom? There is a place for you to belong and it is your local Church.  Remember the Church is not just a building, but a body of believers who worship their GOD in unity and belief.  Churches cause you to serve and grow your spiritual muscle.  They are a place to be part of a larger piece of GOD’S world.  So find a Church today, one where you can thrive and grow for HIS kingdom.

ROMANS 12: 5  “……..SO WE, THOUGH MANY, ARE ONE BODY IN CHRIST, AND INDIVIDUALLY MEMBERS ONE OF ANOTHER.”

A Church family……..identifies you as one who believes and loves GOD.  It is a place to belong and to love on others.  You learn much about yourself when you serve for the kingdom.  Don’t be a consumer of the Church, be a contributor!  Use your gifts to help your Church grow and share the GOSPEL with anyone you can bring with you.  I love bringing someone new to my Church……..I get to view it again through their eyes.  And their feedback helps me to stay realistic about what I already know and love.  I see it freshly again and it always confirms why GOD brought me there in the first place!  HE has me right where I should be.  It is GOD’S family that I belong to, GOD’S household, a small part of HIS larger Kingdom.

ACTS 4: 32  “NOW THE FULL NUMBER OF THOSE WHO BELIEVED WERE OF ONE HEART AND SOUL, AND NO ONE SAID THAT ANY OF THE THINGS THAT BELONGED TO HIM WAS HIS OWN, BUT THEY HAD EVERYTHING IN COMMON.”

One heart and one soul……..there is unity, unity with one another and unity for CHRIST, having everything in common.  The world around us is deeply divided right now and it is wonderful to go to Church and be of one heart and one mind.  HIS kingdom is all about peace, peace with one another and an inner peace that is only found with CHRIST and with CHRIST followers.  There we find more in common with one another than not.

If you haven’t already, find a Church to belong to today.  It does take some doing and time on your part and a willingness to be uncomfortable walking into a new place……..but GOD needs you there because you are an important disciple of HIS earthly Kingdom and a beautiful part of HIS KINGDOM to come!

ROMANS 14: 17  “FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOT A MATTER OF EATING AND DRINKING BUT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PEACE AND JOY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.”
