If there is one thing children do well, it is playing.  They play in the moment and they make the most of all they do.  We can look upon a child playing and smile…….because we remember when.

Our mindset should be that of a child when it comes to our faith…….may we be full of wonder and delight for GOD!

LUKE 18:  16-17  “LET THE CHILDREN COME TO ME, AND DO NOT HINDER THEM, FOR TO SUCH BELONGS THE KINGDOM OF GOD.  TRULY, I SAY TO YOU, WHOEVER DOES NOT RECEIVE THE KINGDOM OF GOD LIKE A CHILD SHALL NOT ENTER IT.”

Let your faith be childlike this Christmas.  Let your faith and celebration remain simple and pure.  Put aside all the doing and find time to rest quiet in the moment and reflect.  Let your inner child find the wonder of the Babe in the Manger.

Let’s remember that Christmas is not something to do, but it is something that comes, because love came that first Christmas.  And all that occurred was simple and holy.  There was a simple stable, barn animals and then there was JESUS, the love of GOD entering our fallen world. 

Have a childlike trust in the Christmas story, because it’s message is a blessed gift for all ready to receive it with wonder……..

LUKE 2: 11  “FOR UNTO YOU IS BORN THIS DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVID A SAVIOR, WHO IS CHRIST THE LORD.”

Oh how the world keeps looking for things to satisfy the longing of souls, but we don’t have to this season…….because JESUS came for you and for me.  Change today how you see HIM, because HE protects the simple one, the child at heart.

PSALM 116:6  “THE LORD PROTECTS THE SIMPLE (CHILDLIKE). AMP

Born a baby, born a Savior, hungry and Holy was HE…….CHRIST THE LORD.  HE is ONE to be trusted and revered and received.  A Holy child who would grow up and one day hang on a Cross for all of mankind’s sins.  Receive HIM with childlike wonder:  wonder of the light, wonder of the message and wonder of HIS incredible love for us!

MATTHEW 4: 16  “……..THE PEOPLE DWELLING IN DARKNESS HAVE SEEN A GREAT LIGHT, AND FOR THOSE DWELLING IN THE REGION AND SHADOW OF DEATH, ON THEM A LIGHT HAS DAWNED.”

Let the light this season fill you with awe.  Because the message of JESUS coming is simple.  The babe in the manger was GOD’S extravagant gift to us, so simple, yet Holy.  Let’s receive HIS gift like a child, with open arms and eyes wide with wonder and worship!
