HEAVENSREEF

JESUS came on an ordinary night in an ordinary stable……HE was surrounded by ordinary barn animals too…….

LUKE 2: 7  “…….AND SHE GAVE BIRTH TO HER FIRSTBORN, A SON.  SHE WRAPPED HIM IN CLOTHS AND PLACED HIM IN A MANGER, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO GUEST ROOM AVAILABLE FOR THEM.”

There was no room for them, no room in an ordinary inn.  But GOD being the extraordinary GOD that HE is, made room in all of history, for the Messiah, the Savior of the world, to come into the world.

ORDINARY WORLD…….EXTRAORDINARY JESUS.

There were ordinary shepherds out in the fields with ordinary smelly sheep, when an extraordinary light appeared to them.  And it was the LORD’S glory that shined before their human eyes……

LUKE 2: 9  “AN ANGEL OF THE LORD APPEARED TO THEM, AND THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHONE AROUND THEM……”

GOD’S glory in all of this ordinary should stun us and leave us in awe!  The lowly shepherds experienced GOD’S extraordinary grace and were a part of GOD’S plan.  This was just an ordinary night, but held so spectacularly in GOD’S hands. 

And only GOD……..places in an ordinary night sky stars that appear like diamonds shining with extraordinary light.

And then there were Wise Men seeking HIM as we should too, just ordinary men looking for a Savior!  The Heavens spoke that ordinary night and what took place was amazing……..

MATTHEW 2: 11  “……..AND THEY BOWED DOWN AND WORSHIPED HIM.”

And we should too, bow down with ordinary knees before an extraordinary GOD.  Let’s take notice during this Christmas season that an extraordinary GOD uses HIS amazing HAND in our simple, ordinary world.  We might not fully understand HIS wanting to be with us so much, that GOD sent HIS one and ONLY SON to be born a babe in flesh thousands of years ago……..just to save our world from sin.  This is our extraordinary GOD, a HOLY GOD of pure love and grace and a SOVEREIGN GOD too.  May HIS HOLY hand give you peace in your ordinary world during this Christmas season!  JESUS is the ONE who left Heaven and came for us, because HE loved us that much!  Remember today dear reader and never forget, that you are loved by an extraordinary HOLY GOD, because HE is IMMANUEL, GOD with us!

ISAIAH 53: 6  “WE ALL, LIKE SHEEP, HAVE GONE ASTRAY, EACH OF US HAS TURNED OUR OWN WAY; AND THE LORD HAS LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL.”
