We were discussing at Church this past weekend of how much our Church has been growing.  Someone said, well, it’s because every week the Gospel is being preached and people hear it, sometimes for the first time.  Our Church reveres JESUS CHRIST and HIS WORD.

Paul continuously preached the GOSPEL, over and over and it does seem to be lost these days in those Churches catering to the woke masses and wanting to not offend anyone.

WE HAVE ALREADY HEARD ABOUT THE BABE IN THE MANGER.

Those who believe……..have a hope beyond anything this world has to offer.  So go today and spread this wonderful hope to your world……..

LUKE 2: 17-18  “AFTER SEEING THEM, THEY REPORTED THE MESSAGE THEY WERE TOLD ABOUT THIS CHILD, AND ALL WHO HEARD IT WERE AMAZED AT WHAT THE SHEPHERDS SAID TO THEM.”

Amazed………we should still have this amazement, an awe, this year as we celebrate Christmas.

We have already heard……..and we should seek.  Read and reread the Christmas story with new eyes and a renewed heart will come, a hopeful heart.

LUKE 2: 29-30  “SIMEON TOOK HIM UP IN HIS ARMS, PRAISED GOD, AND SAID, NOW MASTER, YOU CAN DISMISS YOUR SERVANT IN PEACE, AS YOU PROMISED.  FOR MY EYES HAVE SEEN YOUR SALVATION.”

Simeon was just a man searching for the LORD’S MESSIAH.  And when he found HIM, his eyes were opened to HIS salvation for him.  Simeon had found peace.

This good news is for us too…….plain and simple as it is, a MESSIAH born in a manger………GOD coming down into our dark world to give us this precious hope of salvation.

We hear the GOSPEL said often enough, but let’s never get tired of it’s immeasurable grace in all of it, it’s special mercy for all mankind.  And why?  Because the GOD of the universe came down from Heaven, just for us.  So read it again, with new eyes this time……..

MATTHEW 2: 1-2  “………WISE MEN FROM THE EAST ARRIVED IN JERUSALEM, SAYING, “WHERE IS HE WHO HAS BEEN BORN KING OF THE JEWS?”

Where is HE?  This Christmas search the beautiful scriptures for JESUS.  You may have already heard the GOSPEL, but do you really know your Savior and what HE has done for you?

OH WHAT A SAVIOR WE HAVE IN JESUS!

MATTHEW 1: 23  “……….AND THEY WILL NAME HIM IMMANUEL, WHICH IS TRANSLATED “GOD WITH US.”

HE came for us then and is still coming for us now, this Christmas.  Like Simeon who searched for the child of Mary and Joseph and found HIM, we must diligently search this year too.  Because even though we may have already heard this GOOD NEWS, we can hear it again, in a new and profound way!  Open our ears and eyes LORD, help us to see……..YOU!

LUKE 2: 10-11  “BUT THE ANGEL SAID TO THEM, DO NOT BE AFRAID.  I BRING YOU GOOD NEWS THAT WILL CAUSE GREAT JOY FOR ALL THE PEOPLE.  TODAY IN THE TOWN OF DAVID A SAVIOR HAS BEEN BORN TO YOU; HE IS THE MESSIAH, THE LORD.”
