ENCOURAGING ONE ANOTHER ALL THE MORE

Encouragement comes in many forms and can be given to all ages in all walks of life.  Our current state of affairs in this country has people on opposite sides tearing each other apart to the point that it takes your breath away.  Why are we as a society so cruel and so evil?

As Christians we understand this because of the fall in the Garden.  Our world is broken and only a SAVIOR can save each one of us.  Since evil is showing it’s ugly head in broad daylight, we are to be salt and light for the world.  It is so needed right now…….

REMIND YOURSELF THAT GOD HAS NOT LEFT US ALONE

We are the Body of Christ………GOD has fully equipped us with all we need for perseverance and encouragement and then we also have this…….

HEBREWS 10: 16-17  “I WILL PUT MY LAWS ON THEIR HEARTS AND WRITE THEM ON THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL NEVER AGAIN REMEMBER THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS ACTS.”

Notice the “I will” in the above scripture?  GOD will intimately touch our hearts to remake and strengthen them when we are faint of heart.  HIS word always does this and we can depend on it and draw encouragement from it.

Oh what a treasure it is when GOD writes a scripture upon our hearts and it sinks deep within our souls!  What an anchor for us to hold on to, what an encouragement our LORD gives us so we may encourage one another.

Let’s not leave each other out in all this mess we are living through.  Don’t get so caught up in your own life that you forget everyone around you.  Since we are to consider others better than ourselves, I don’t want to be one who stands before JESUS and HE points out to me all those who I neglected and overlooked.  JESUS never did that.  HE noticed everyone near to HIM and in front of HIM.  Yes we get busy, but we are to love one another and care for one another.

HEBREWS 10: 24  “AND LET US WATCH OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER TO PROVOKE LOVE AND GOOD WORKS.”

Meet when you can, call when you can.  Choose face to face rather than Facebook.  The social media industry is destroying relationships in a big way.  None of it has drawn us any closer because they have studied this and we are more isolated and lonely than we have ever been in history.

CARING AND ENCOURAGING SOMEONE IS A TRUE LIFELINE

I read recently that abandonment cuts deep especially when someone is dealing with cancer or any illness for that matter.  JESUS sets the bar in showing us that no one should have to go through fear and suffering…….alone.  JESUS understood suffering and HE knows each of ours and HIS compassionate love for people should be our standard of how we love people too.

So care for your loved ones, care for your neighbors, encourage those believers around you to keep on keeping on in this sin-soaked world…….and encourage one another with all your might!

1 PETER 2: 21  “FOR YOU WERE CALLED TO THIS, BECAUSE CHRIST ALSO SUFFERED FOR YOU, LEAVING YOU AN EXAMPLE THAT YOU SHOULD FOLLOW IN HIS STEPS.”

  1. It’s so easy to get caught up in our own lives & the things we have going on & become careless about keeping up with others when they need us most. So many times I’ve seen people be there in the beginning for those who are suffering in some way. And then after a little while the contact & “checking up on them” becomes less & less then just stops entirely. And as much as I hate to admit it I’ve been guilty of it myself. That’s a slap of reality!! God help me to be a better friend when & where I’m needed the most🙏🏻

  2. Thank you so much for your encouragement to each of us, dear Maxine. What a blessing you are, and I praise God for you. May we each take God seriously at His Word, using His blessings, strength, and wisdom to interact with one another as He desires us, and indeed, as He designed us.
