HEAVENSREEF

LOVE means so many different things to so many people.  When some school age children where asked what was the one word that described GOD the overall answer was: love.

Our Savior JESUS CHRIST went to the Cross to endure a horrible death to save all of us sinners.  HE endured suffering for us all because HE didn’t want to be separated from us.  HIS enduring love for us compelled HIM to hang on the Cross to ultimately show us a hope and a future so that we could live out our lives knowing we have a heavenly home.  We were not meant to live here in our sin conditions.  And because we have a gracious Father, HIS love for us endures forever.

EPHESIANS 2: 4-7  “BUT GOD, BEING RICH IN MERCY, BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT LOVE WITH WHICH HE LOVED US, EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN OUR TRANSGRESSIONS, MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST (BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED), AND RAISED US UP WITH HIM, AND SEATED US WITH HIM IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS, SO THAT IN THE AGES TO COME HE MIGHT SHOW THE SURPASSING RICHES OF HIS GRACE IN KINDNESS TOWARD US IN CHRIST JESUS.”

And because HE first loved us……..we are to love one another and often that is easier said then done.  I think we all know someone who is difficult to love, or someone we may love who doesn’t appreciate us and the list goes on and on.  But GOD and HIS word commands us to love, actually compels us to love……it is HIS great commission for us and we are to live by it.

This is short today, but may you live with GOD’S love implanted in your heart.  LOVE one another as CHRIST loves us.  HIS gift of love to us was just that: a gift of grace and unconditional love.  HIS love is immeasurable for us all and may we share that love with open hearts and hands to all we know and meet.  Go and love someone today.

JOHN 3: 16  “FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.”
