If only I had seen that coming!  How often have we said this?  Sometimes life changes on a dime and sometimes there are unforeseen tragedies, surprises and events.  Are we taken by surprise?  Of course we are!

How often we wish we could see what is coming around the corner………but do we really want to know?  There are those who get up in the morning like any other day and then never return home.  Would they have wanted to see ahead of time what was waiting for them out in the world?

It’s obvious that we as humans have limited sight.  And there is a reason why GOD has HIS omnipotent nature and we do not.  HE sees our final end and HE knows whose name is written in HIS book of life.  All of life is for HIS glory and HIS creation is HIS and we, HIS created, are living our lives out in HIS plan.

PROVERBS 25: 2  “IT IS THE GLORY OF GOD TO CONCEAL A MATTER……”

As Christ followers, each morning we ask GOD for protection, power, provision and guidance over our days.  We cannot see what is ahead of us, but the LORD does and we put our trust in HIS unlimited sight.  We try to plan our days, but often find them taking a turn in all sorts of directions.  But GOD’S plans are firm and solid and true for us……

PSALM 33: 11 “BUT THE PLANS OF THE LORD STAND FIRM FOREVER, THE PURPOSES OF HIS HEART THROUGH ALL GENERATIONS.”

We might have limited sight, but let’s realize that GOD’S sight is way better than ours.  And so I ask, do you trust HIM above all else to “see” for you?

OUR SIGHT IS LIMITED, BUT GOD’S SIGHT IS TIMELESS and LIMITLESS.

If we trust GOD and embrace GODLY principles, GOD will give us all the sight we need!  When we expect GOD to show up for us in our situations and trust HIS “seeing” over ours, then we learn that HIS plan for our lives is perfectly woven into HIS mercy and grace for us.

HIS sight is our LIGHT my friends!  HIS sight is perfect……HIS sight is better than our own.  Let us trust HIS sight to step out radically for the GOSPEL.  Let us pray for HIS wisdom to see the world around us the way HE sees it.  Let us realize that GOD made us the way we are with limited sight.  If we could know all things and see all things in the future, we wouldn’t need a GOD who loves us in the way HE does.

 

EVERY DAY GOD GIVES US JUST ENOUGH LIGHT FOR THE STEP WE ARE ON.

I so love the thought that the LORD sees every step we take.  I wear a step counter and some days go over 10,000.  Just knowing HE knows each one of those steps I took, brings me comfort at the end of the day.  Think on that for a moment……..every step we take forward HE knows, just like every hair on our head HE is familiar with. 

MATTHEW 10: 30-31 “BUT EVEN THE HAIRS OF YOUR HEAD HAVE ALL BEEN COUNTED.  SO DON’T BE AFRAID; YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN MANY SPARROWS.”

And there it is……..even though we have limited sight, we are worth much in GOD’S eyes, because HE cares for us!  We are to walk in HIS sight and not our own and to trust in HIM and all HIS wisdom and knowledge for all of our days.  HE knows what we do not, HE sees what we can’t, and HE hears conversations that we don’t.  So trust HIM today.  Let HIS capable sight lead you.  HE is the all wise, mighty GOD. Thank HIM today for HIS clear sight of your life.

1 PETER 3: 4  “BUT LET YOUR ADORNING BE THE HIDDEN PERSON OF THE HEART WITH THE IMPERISHABLE BEAUTY OF A GENTLE AND QUIET SPIRIT, WHICH IN GOD’S SIGHT IS VERY PRECIOUS.”

HEBREWS 4: 13 “NOTHING IN ALL CREATION IS HIDDEN FROM GOD’S SIGHT.”
