I recently had coffee with two soul sisters.  We were chatting away over yummy sweets when one of them said this: “I think you need to stand your Holy ground.”  Our world is not an example of anything Holy and we are in a current battle against the powers of darkness…….so let us stand together and encourage one another, while we stand our Holy ground.

DEAR LORD, HELP US TO BREATHE AFTER YOUR HOLINESS.

Here in America we are not used to standing our ground on what we believe because before now, we had freedom to believe what we wanted to!  But since cancel culture has come upon us, our freedom of worship and beliefs are under attack.  We are being cancelled with what we say and how we say it.  So how do we stay strong in the midst of this new resistance?

STANDING YOUR HOLY GROUND REQUIRES GODLY COURAGE.

I think it interesting how often in Deuteronomy that GOD says to “be strong and of good courage.”

DEUTERONOMY 31: 6  “BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS; DON’T BE TERRIFIED OR AFRAID OF THEM.  FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS THE ONE WHO WILL GO WITH YOU; HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU OR ABANDON YOU.”

And how about this one……

DEUTERONOMY 31: 7  “BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS, FOR YOU WILL GO WITH THIS PEOPLE INTO THE LAND THE LORD SWORE TO GIVE TO THEIR FATHERS.”

Being strong and courageous in the LORD will help us stand our Holy ground!  Our freedom to worship and to believe in our GOD is why we need to stand our Holy ground, because if GOD is for us, who can be against us?

Let us kneel before the LORD and come into HIS HOLY PRESENCE.  And after spending this precious time with HIM, let us take this Holy ground along with us throughout our days and into our battles and our experiences.  HE goes with us, before us and after so that whatever we are facing, we can stand firm and be strong.

STAND FIRM ON HIS RIGHTEOUS GROUND.

ISAIAH 42: 6  “I AM THE LORD.  I HAVE CALLED YOU FOR A RIGHTEOUS PURPOSE, AND I WILL HOLD YOU BY YOUR HAND.”

JESUS stands with us, alongside holding our hands in righteousness and therefore we stand together for one purpose, HIS purpose.  Stand strong, stand tall and stand secure.  Your feet are on solid Holy ground and you will not slip!

PROVERBS 3:23  “THEN YOU WILL WALK ON YOUR WAY SECURELY, AND YOUR FOOT WILL NOT STUMBLE.”

Taking hold of the LORD with all your being and grasping HIS HAND and standing securely in an unshakable faith, means you are secure in your trust of HIM.  You know GOD is always there and you grasp HIS truth every single day.

As the world pushes against us, we need to stand for HIS truth, stand our Holy ground of belief in all that JESUS is and all that the CROSS stands for.  Let us be HIS witness to the GOSPEL of TRUTH and LIGHT.

A STEADY AND FOCUSED FAITH HAS IT’S EYE ONLY ON JESUS AND WHEN THAT SOLID FOCUS REMAINS VERTICAL WITH JESUS ON THE THRONE, ALL ELSE ENCOUNTERED IS POSSIBLE AND ENDURED BY FAITH.

God remembers HIS promises to us……..they are Holy promises, never to be forgotten……

PSALM 105: 42  “FOR HE REMEMBERED HIS HOLY PROMISES TO ABRAHAM HIS SERVANT.”

And He remembers what HE has promised to us too…….so stand secure upon the ROCK.

Stand your HOLY GROUND because the GOSPEL is the world’s only hope for today.  Remain steadfast in your belief and stand solid and firm on every one of GOD’S promises.  The LORD will not let you fall from HIS grasp……so stand your HOLY GROUND as you walk today.  Believe it and live it.

PSALM 40: 2  “HE SET MY FEET ON A ROCK AND GAVE ME A FIRM PLACE TO STAND.”
