WE NEED SPIRITUAL SIGHT

Sometimes we tend to be sight blind……..sometimes we don’t see what is right in front of us.  Others may see for us, but often we are blind to the truth.

The truth hurts so to speak.  Often people don’t want to hear the truth.  Our world right now is searching for truth in all the wrong places.  Lies and deceit start to stink and corrupt people.  Lies hurt the soul and destroy lives.  Satan is doing a good job of this right now.  But if we get real……lies have been around from the beginning.  In the Garden the enemy’s lies caused the fall of humanity.  Deception is an old friend to those who walk in it.

Christians need to have spiritual sight.  I want more of it……do you?  Our lines of morality are blurring more and more each day.  What we have always known to be right, is now being twisted into something we don’t even recognize as true.

So what do we do?  People who tell the lies are actually being celebrated!  How can this be?  As Christians we should be appalled by this!

Where has everyone’s moral compass gone?  Oh how we need spiritual sight right now like never before!

PSALM 98:2  “THE LORD HAS MADE HIS VICTORY KNOWN, HE HAS REVEALED HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IN THE SIGHT OF THE NATIONS.”

SPIRITUAL SIGHT IS AN AMAZING THING…….

SPIRITUAL SIGHT GIVES US THE ABILITY TO PUT ALL THINGS IN THE MIRROR OF ETERNITY.

With spiritual sight that only comes from the spirit within, our lives take on new meaning……..we “see” not as the world does, but through a GODLY lens.  HIS sight and wisdom is left for us in HIS word of TRUTH.  Let us thank the LORD every day for this spiritual sight HE has given us.

2 CORINTHIANS 5: 7  “WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT.”

NO LET US NOT WALK BY WHAT THE WORLD SEES, BUT BY SPIRITUAL SIGHT THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST!

Our spiritual sight and discernment is a Holy gift from GOD, something to never take for granted, but to cherish and develop through prayer and faith.  It is the road less traveled, a path like none other.  And even when our spiritual sight is weak, our Father shows us the way to go, whether turning to the right or the left or to rest or to remain.

JAMES 4: 10  “HUMBLE YOURSELVES IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, AND HE SHALL LIFT YOU UP.”

So how can one live in this spiritual sight?  Use it daily! Look at all of life through the spiritual lens that GOD gave you.  All your thoughts and feelings and words and actions should filter through this lens…….and the more you use it, the more fine-tuned it becomes. 

LUKE 18: 43  “AND IMMEDIATELY HE RECEIVED HIS SIGHT, AND FOLLOWED HIM, GLORIFYING GOD, AND ALL THE PEOPLE, WHEN THEY SAW IT, GAVE PRAISE UNTO GOD.”

If we have spiritual sight and we follow and glorify GOD in all things, might others come to “see” and give praise to the GOD of the universe also?

Let us graciously use our spiritual sight to build one another up, to support our Churches like never before and to be the light that GOD needs us to be in our communities and neighborhoods.

None of us have been or lived through a pandemic like this one and we all, as GOD’S children have been searching to see and understand HIS hand in all of this.  We are searching to “see” how to live this, how to live with the changes to all we know, and to fight the good fight for the TRUTH, HIS TRUTH. We can certainly “see” GOD’S hand upon one another.  HE is drawing HIS people nearer to HIM……HE is awakening those who have been dead and blind to their sins.  We have been and still are praying fervently for spiritual sight……

THE AMAZING……INCREDIBLE…… EXTRAORDINARY ANSWER IN ALL OF THIS??

GOD IS FAITHFUL AND WILL ANSWER HIS BELOVED.

Ask for Spiritual Sight today…….pray for it, hold onto it, develop it and then live it, giving all the glory to our amazing Father who loves us more than we will ever know.

  2. Ps 98.2 The LORD has made his victory known; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
    God reveals all to His children – to all whom He created. Sadly, many close their eyes or deny the truth of what they see. They create our own, alternate world.
    Praise God Who gives us eyes to see and ears to hear. I glorify Him with you, Maxine, and pray with you that we fall on our knees, humbly asking God to reveal truth to our hearts, to break lies we believe, to shine His light into our darkness.
    I shudder to think of the control that lies have in our world – media, corporate power, money: all the wrong idols.
    I join you in praise to our amazing Father, Who is faithful, and will answer His beloved. He keeps charge over His beloved, keeps us in His tender care. He is ever our comfort and shield and hiding place.
    My comment on how God has fine-tuned my spiritual sight during these hard times: 1. I get to go to a Biblical church every Sunday. We have an amazing, God-fearing pastor who preaches God’s Truth. 2. I get to read amazing posts from Godly bloggers like you. I am lifted, encouraged, edified. Thank you.

    1. Thank you Kathy! Are you sure we aren’t at the same Church?! Yes I do love how GOD points us towards other Biblical content like the blogging community here. May we continue to encourage one another as much as possible in these distressing times. BUT GOD! With HIM nothing is impossible now or in the future!
