OH THAT JESUS IS THE PERFECT GIFT THIS CHRISTMAS!  You can’t buy HIM like we try to buy a perfect gift for someone.  No, HE IS THE GIFT!  You cannot create Christmas…….because Christmas has already come in JESUS, born of a virgin and laid in a Manger long ago.

And when you realize you haven’t done anything at all to deserve this extravagant gift of HIS forgiveness and grace…….you are humbled and like the Wise Men who came from the East, you fall to your knees in adoration.

Let’s really look for HIM this Christmas just as the Wise Men Did……..

MATTHEW 2: 2  “WHERE IS HE WHO HAS BEEN BORN KING OF THE JEWS?”

Have you searched for HIM this Christmas?  It’s not about the stuff and parties and movies.  It’s about a KING.  A KING that walked this earth, spilled HIS milk at the table as a young child, shed tears for a city many years later and then died on a Cross for your sins and mine.

JESUS WAS BORN IN THE MOST UNLIKELY OF PLACES.

And like the Wise Men, we must be wholly committed to search and find HIM.  Find THE SACRED ONE in the most unlikely places and circumstances.  And when you do, when you really do, you will fall down and worship HIM like none other.

On this Christmas……..search your heart and see what else you are worshiping.  Nothing, absolutely nothing on this earth deserves the whole worship of your own heart…….except JESUS the KING of the world.

Only JESUS……..is the KING!  HE is KING now and forevermore.  The good news this CHRISTMAS IS THAT DEITY CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN TO WALK THE EARTH.

HE chose to walk among us and HE chose to be born in human flesh……..

LUKE 2: 11  “TODAY IN THE CITY OF DAVID A SAVIOR WAS BORN FOR YOU, WHO IS THE MESSIAH, THE LORD.”

A kingdom love came down on earth, a love that was prophesied long before.  And how wonderful that GOD had HIS plan.  That GOD made a way for sinners like you and me!

ISAIAH 53: 5  “BUT HE WAS PIERCED BECAUSE OF OUR REBELLION, CRUSHED BECAUSE OF OUR INIQUITIES; PUNISHMENT FOR OUR PEACE WAS ON HIM, AND WE ARE HEALED BY HIS WOUNDS.”

Did you catch that?  HE was born in a Manger, only to be crucified so many years later…….for us.  We are that precious to HIM that HE gave HIS life for you and for me.  Doesn’t that thought overwhelm you with joy?  The GOD of the universe loves us that much!

Jesus was born in a most unlikely place and if it weren’t for the star, the Wise Men never would have found HIM sleeping in Mary’s arms.  Even today, in our present, broken world, we still find HIM in the most unlikely places.  But we must look for HIM……search and not be content with the status quo of our present lives.  We need to be different, we need to worship JESUS and only JESUS.  Let us search daily for HIS truth and light!  Because when we do, we will find HIM there, waiting for us.

If you haven’t already, ask JESUS into your heart.  Pray and confess to HIM that you are a sinner and that you want HIM and only HIM to sit on the throne of your life.  Do it now, do it soon and commit your life to HIM.  Let the cares of this world rest upon HIS shoulders.  And thank HIM for finding you and opening your eyes and heart.   Find JESUS this Christmas…….HE is waiting for you with open arms.

THIS CHRISTMAS CELEBRATE THE KING!
