I wonder if we, as GOD’S people fail to keep our eyes on Heaven? 

ISAIAH 51: 16 “AND I HAVE PUT MY WORDS IN YOUR MOUTH AND COVERED YOU IN THE SHADOW OF MY HAND, ESTABLISHING THE HEAVENS AND LAYING THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE EARTH, AND SAYING TO ZION, YOU ARE MY PEOPLE.”

Yes, we are HIS people.  We know this, we embrace this.  But how often do we look up and say: LORD I AM LOOKING FOR YOU! Yes, looking for HIM in all things, but looking up where HE is!

 If you take a peak at your pictures of your children when they were little, you will find quite a few pictures of them looking up at adults especially if it is Mom or Dad.

 

There was a time we all looked up to our Daddies.  They held our hands when we were small and we looked up to them to take care of us.  How about our Daddy in Heaven?  HE is always there and HE daily takes care of us.  Shouldn’t we look up to HIM more?  HE is in Heaven waiting for us!  HE is there watching, why aren’t we watching for HIM?

PSALM 8: 3-4  “WHEN I LOOK AT YOUR HEAVENS, THE WORK OF YOUR FINGERS, THE MOON AND THE STARS, WHICH YOU HAVE SET IN PLACE, WHAT IS MAN THAT YOU ARE MINDFUL OF HIM AND THE SON OF MAN THAT YOU CARE FOR HIM?

 

Yes, HE IS mindful of us!  Where are our thoughts?  Vertical or horizontal?  What direction is our thinking going?  I find that when the world captures my thinking too much, I start looking down more than up.  I become more cynical and less hopeful.  But when I spend my time in the word more, spend more time outside looking up into Arizona’s beautiful desert sky, my perspective changes.  Looking up is a good thing to do, because it leaves you with awe and wonder!

PSALM 19:1  “THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD, AND THE SKY ABOVE PROCLAIMS HIS HANDIWORK.”

Not only are the heavens HIS handiwork, but so are we and HE cares so much more for us!  Let’s start today to dedicate our days with praise going up and letting those complaints go.

Let’s praise HIM more in this season rather than complain……the world does that consistently and louder every day and does it enough for everyone!  Let’s be that light of the LORD because we are always looking up to where the light resides!

PSALM 108:4 “FOR YOUR STEADFAST LOVE IS GREAT ABOVE THE HEAVENS, YOUR FAITHFULNESS REACHES TO THE CLOUDS.”

In our looking up, let’s exalt our Father in heaven with praise and thanksgiving always remembering HIM, because HIS ways are higher than our ways and let’s repeat this too:

GOD’S PLAN OVER MINE!

Yes, HIS plan is over all the earth.  HIS plan is over HIS creation, HIS story, HIS galaxy and beyond!  HE is with us and HE never left and will be there in the future……just keep looking up!

ISAIAH 55: 9  “FOR AS THE HEAVENS ARE HIGHER THAN THE EARTH, SO ARE MY WAYS HIGHER THAN YOUR WAYS AND MY THOUGHTS THAN YOUR THOUGHTS.”
