I think there has not been a one of us who hasn’t watched the violence in our nation and been pulled to our knees to pray for peace!
I don’t think we realized the peace we had, until it was so quickly taken away.
MATTHEW 6:9 “BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS, FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED SONS OF GOD.”
Yes, blessed are those who pave the way towards peace. When everything is peaceful, everyone benefits. But war and strife and violence can hurt the soul within us and makes us very aware of the evil that walks the earth.
LET’S ASK OURSELVES TODAY IF WE ARE PAVING THE WAY OF PEACE?
Are we an ambassador of peace within our circles of influence or are we contributing to the negative discord that is flooding our social circles and online presence? Are we finding peace within our own four walls? Do we have peace within our hearts that only our LORD can give?
I think we need to ask ourselves these very questions every day, because GOD does ask it of us, to pave the way towards peace……
PSALM 34:14 “TURN AWAY FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD, SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT.”
If we ask HIM, GOD will lay the foundation of peace within us. And then we will desire to walk in it.

Oh, may our feet be the feet of peace! Paving the way for peace is a daily challenge for us and GOD knows it too. HIS Son, JESUS, tells us to choose HIS way, a better way, a way of peace.
JOHN 16: 33 “I HAVE SAID THESE THINGS TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE.”
I have never in my life, felt the world’s chaos and evil intent like I do now. And I feel JESUS asking me: “so what are you going to do about it?” GOD sends peace to us in our hearts like no one else will. HIS peace goes beyond our understanding. May we run into HIS arms of peace every single day. Let’s trust that peace and attempt to pave a way of peace wherever we go. When we walk in HIS peace, everyone benefits.
Dr. Charles Stanley says it like this……
BRINGING PEACE IN A ROOM, LET ALONE THE HEART OF AN ENEMY, IS A SACRED CALLING AND ONE OF THE JOYS OF A CHRISTIAN.”
A sacred calling of peace will bring joy to the person who spreads peace! I like that and need that confirmation don’t you? It does make you want to pave the way for peace everywhere and with everyone you meet!
BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS.
Knowing we have peace with GOD brings joy to the soul and paving the way for peace becomes the only way we know how to walk in this world. In CHRIST we walk, as HE walks alongside giving us peace of heart and peace of soul. There really is no other way…….
ROMANS 5: 1 “THEREFORE, SINCE WE HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.”
If we die to self and let HIS peace reign, then we naturally bring peace into any and all situations. HIS sacred peace is our peace……..extend the hand of peace to your neighbor today.
Let’s begin…….to pave the way with steps of thanks having peace with GOD to walk in peace with the world. Because everyone today needs a little bit of peace in their life.
May our LORD and HIS peace be with you today!
EPHESIANS 6:15 “FOR SHOES, PUT ON THE PEACE THAT COMES FROM THE GOOD NEWS SO THAT YOU WILL BE FULLY PREPARED.”

There sure is a big need in today’s time for that peace that goes beyond our own thinking!
A great post! Thanks for the reminder!

You are so right in that our peace is only in Jesus Christ, and that we are called to bring His peace wherever we go. We will not always be met with peace, and our response will reveal our core beliefs.

I love John 16:33. The second half says, “In the world you will have tribulation, but take heart! I have overcome the world.” You’re right, even if we are not met with peace, even when we are surrounded by chaos, HE is our peace.

Ho! I just quoted that verse this morning to my husband at the end of a discussion of our nations’ political status.
