ALL THIS SEPARATE BUT TOGETHER HAS MANY OF US THINKING: WHAT IS NEXT LORD?

Many of us during this pandemic have spent the time looking deep into our souls asking many questions of GOD:  are YOU there?  Why me? Why this?  Why him or her?  Why now?  These questions are soul searching and can only be answered by our Creator. 

But wherever we are in all of this and depending upon where you live, we all are pretty much asking: what is next?

The world has completely changed around us and looks different with different rules and a general awareness of our fellow man.  But one thing that is certain and true is this:

GOD HAS NOT CHANGED.

HE is the same as HE was yesterday, and today and tomorrow!  Aren’t we incredibly blessed that HE never changes! And HIS love, mercy and grace is still there, abundantly for HIS Church.

So we can choose to either live with the above promise stamped upon our hearts or we can live in fear and frustration.

I will admit fear has visited me a few times in the past few weeks, but I keep returning to GOD’S word and recently came upon this promise:

2 CHRONICLES 20:17 “YOU WILL NOT NEED TO FIGHT IN THIS BATTLE.  STAND FIRM, HOLD YOUR POSITION, AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD ON YOUR BEHALF.”

This verse struck me as far as realizing that GOD IS in control, HE is fighting our battles, all seen and unseen.  Our next logical step is to stand firm and see.  Let our next logical step be for the LORD!

DON’T FOR ONE MINUTE DOUBT THAT GOD’S ANSWERS TO ALL YOUR ISSUES ARE WRITTEN WITHIN HIS HOLY BOOK! 

Let us see there HIS promises that help us stand firm, and let’s trust all that HE says.  GOD shows us in HIS word what our next logical step should always be…….to step out in faith!  Let’s allow the GOD of the universe to guide our steps and point us in the right direction with strong faith rather than fear.

Sometimes, the next logical step is just a small one.  Sometimes, GOD gives us just enough light for the current step we are on.  We try to look further than today, but GOD says to rejoice in today, because we know not what comes for us tomorrow.

Maybe your next logical step today is to do what is right in front of you, to read HIS word, pray, meditate, look outside or go outside and breathe deeply.  Remember this:

ECCLESIASTES 11:7 “LIGHT IS SWEET, AND IT IS PLEASANT FOR THE EYES TO SEE THE SUN.”

Light and love and the sweetness of the LORD is all around us…….take the next step and draw your soul near to the ONE who loves you more than you will ever know!

Don’t let anyone steal your joy my friends, especially the enemy.  He wants to bring us down, to make us sit idle, because then we are ineffective for the Kingdom.   Your next logical step might be to ask the enemy to leave.  And ask GOD for HIS protection and provision…….stand again on HIS promises to you!  Don’t let the enemy steal your thoughts and begin to preach HIS word to yourself, over and over again.

EXODUS 14:13  “FEAR NOT, STAND FIRM, AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD, WHICH HE WILL WORK FOR YOU TODAY.”

Let us preach more to ourselves all the goodness of the LORD, rather than listening to the negative voices in our heads.  Because JESUS, our LORD, wants us to look upward and outward and with HIM all things are made possible…….and the next logical step for me and for you is possible too!  Rejoice in that next step and take it today!

ACTS 2: 25  “I SAW THE LORD ALWAYS BEFORE ME, FOR HE IS AT MY RIGHT HAND THAT I MAY NOT BE SHAKEN.”
