HEAVENSREEF

All of this alone time has given us the opportunity to do some introspection.  Let’s think on this…..what are we seeking most?  Let’s remind ourselves that the things of this world will pass away, but those eternal things……those treasures found in Heaven will remain. 

MATTHEW 6:20 “BUT STORE UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES IN HEAVEN, WHERE MOTHS AND VERMIN DO NOT DESTROY, AND WHERE THIEVES DO NOT BREAK IN AND STEAL.”

I have heard more than one friend say this: “my alone time with GOD has increased.”  It is known that a habit is formed when repeated over 21 days.  So I wonder after this crisis is over, will we remain in our extra time given over to GOD?  I find that with so much time on my hands, that my quality of time is best when I seek HIM most! 

Since GOD is the Creator and the creation is still here, let us seek HIM as much as possible.

PROVERBS 8:17 “I LOVE THOSE WHO LOVE ME, AND THOSE WHO SEEK ME DILIGENTLY FIND ME.”

Shouldn’t we be seeking HIS wisdom and understanding during this current crisis……..more than we ever have? 

SEEK…….HIM…….MOST.

Above all and in all…….let’s seek HIM with all heart, soul and mind.  Cry out to HIM, every day.

DEUTERONOMY 4:30  “WHEN YOU ARE IN TRIBULATION, AND ALL THESE THINGS COME UPON YOU IN THE LATTER DAYS, YOU WILL RETURN TO THE LORD YOUR GOD AND OBEY HIS VOICE.”

RETURN TO THE LORD YOUR GOD.

Return, seek GOD most humbly and diligently.  Seek HIM now while the time is there……seek HIM in study, seek HIM in prayer, seek HIM with others, seek HIM in Creation and you can be certain in all of this……..HE will be found!

GOD does not hide from us………HE is always there…….patiently waiting……..

1 CHRONICLES 28:9 “FOR THE LORD SEARCHES EVERY HEART AND UNDERSTANDS THE INTENTION OF EVERY THOUGHT. IF YOU SEEK HIM, HE WILL BE FOUND BY YOU.”

BUT ABOVE ALL, SEEK HIM MOST!

Right now we may feel apart from one another, but remember this: we are only one breath away from the GOD of the universe!

Let us take this time to abandon any empty rituals we may have.  Change things up.  GOD has given us this time to establish something new in the small.  Our worlds are such right now that the small……..matters. 

Maybe  part of the lesson in all of this current situation is to obey GOD in the small with thankful adoration and to see more clearly eternity before us!

HEBREWS 11: 6  “AND WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM, FOR WHOEVER WOULD DRAW NEAR TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE EXISTS AND THAT HE REWARDS THOSE WHO SEEK HIM.”

May we seek HIM most during this coronavirus crisis…….above all else, drawing nearer than we ever have before.  And when we do, we will find all victory and hope in our RESURRECTED KING of KINGS; JESUS CHRIST!!

ISAIAH 52: 10 “THE LORD HAS BARED HIS HOLY ARM BEFORE THE EYES OF ALL THE NATIONS, AND ALL THE ENDS OF THE EARTH SHALL SEE THE SALVATION OF OUR GOD.”

DRAW NEAR AND SEEK HIM MOST.

ISAIAH 54: 5 “FOR YOUR MAKER IS YOUR HUSBAND, THE LORD OF HOSTS IS HIS NAME; AND THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL IS YOUR REDEEMER, THE GOD OF THE WHOLE EARTH HE IS CALLED.”
