SHARE HIS PEACE

Our lives are so incredibly different than they were a few weeks ago.  I am sure you will agree with me that what is happening inside our country is surreal.  We can either decide to be panicked by all of it, or we can find the peace of soul that we need from our GOD who never leaves us.

Now I don’t have an answer as to why this all is happening with the coronavirus, nor is there any reason to blame anyone.  Is GOD in control of this?  YES.  Will HE abandon us…….NEVER.

HEBREWS 13: 5 “……..FOR GOD HAS SAID: “NEVER WILL I LEAVE YOU, NEVER WILL I FORSAKE YOU.”

As the Body of Christ, we can go to HIS word for the comfort and peace we so desperately need. If you draw near to HIM, we will find peace.  Fill up on it so you can extend your peace to someone else who has fear right now.

We can decide during these times while isolated to just stay that way, or we can be inventive and find a way to reach out to those around us, in any way we can.

You see, we are HIS people, a shining light……..HIS peace will be ours when we ask and pray for it.

And HIS peace that goes beyond our understanding washes over us and fills us.  Find HIS peace in the following……..

PSALM 91; 1 “HE WHO DWELLS IN THE SHELTER OF THE MOST HIGH WILL ABIDE IN THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY.”

Find HIS peace in abiding…….spend more time with the LORD than time with the news.

Many of us have already missed Church services and watched them online.  My small group was cancelled and my fun book club.  And I am sure there are more cancellations to come.  So I wonder if GOD is sending us a little message in all of this, something worth remembering……..

PSALM 91: 4 – 6 “HIS FAITHFULNESS WILL BE A PROTECTIVE SHIELD.  YOU WILL NOT FEAR THE TERROR OF THE NIGHT, THE ARROW THAT FLIES BY DAY, THE PLAGUE THAT STALKS IN DARKNESS, OR THE PESTILENCE THAT RAVAGES AT NOON.”

Honestly if we lose everything, don’t we still have……..HIM?  GOD is so so faithful and gives us peace of heart in troubled times.

Remind yourself each morning that you are part of the Body of Christ, you are HIS beloved child and since the LORD is your Shepherd, you shall not want anything else but HIM!

And here is the peace……..GOD is with us, right now through all of this.  HE knows what is going on and HE will take anything meant for evil and turn it into good.

HIS peace however, HE never takes away.  And so we have the ability to share peaceful words to those around us.  I hear people saying more than anything that they are scared.  Here is your opportunity to ask them why, and then open up the conversation as to why you have the peace that you do.  And in that moment, trust that the Spirit of truth will speak through you.

MATTHEW 10: 19 “…….DO NOT BE ANXIOUS HOW YOU ARE TO SPEAK OR WHAT YOU ARE TO SAY, FOR WHAT YOU ARE TO SAY WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU IN THAT HOUR.”

What we say to one another now in these times really matters…….say what GOD has done in your life and how HE is your lifeline, your anchor for your soul.

MATTHEW 12: 34 “FOR OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART THE  MOUTH SPEAKS.”

Abundance of the heart…….think on that.  If we have an abundance of HIS peace in our hearts, then we are able to pass HIS peace along to those around us.

My dear friends…….where have you received your peace today?  And who will you pass HIS PEACE along to today?  Reach out with HIS comfort and peace…….remember your neighbors, as well as your friends and family.  Stay strong in the LORD dear ones!

PSALM 91: 15 “WHEN HE CALLS TO ME, I WILL ANSWER HIM; I WILL BE WITH HIM IN TROUBLE.”

  1. Great advice right here, Maxine: “As the Body of Christ, we can go to HIS word for the comfort and peace we so desperately need. If you draw near to HIM, we will find peace. Fill up on it so you can extend your peace to someone else who has fear right now.”

  2. What a wonderful, encouraging, wise post, Maxine! Thank you for lifting us up. I think that’s just what you did when you wrote, ” Fill up on it so you can extend your peace to someone else who has fear right now.” I see you are filled with the peace and wisdom of our God and Father. 😊
And THIS: “Honestly if we lose everything, don’t we still have……..HIM? GOD is so so faithful and gives us peace of heart in troubled times.” So absolutely true! That is security, indeed.

    1. Bless you dear Kathy! Let us share our peace we have with our Savior. This we can all do from our homes. We are not helpless, just sidelined and we can be inventive in all of this and be creative how we connect with one another. Thanks for your comment. Blessings and peace to you!

  4. I love that HE makes good out of evil. I think this is a good example of it. We are reconnecting with loved ones and friends and family since we have more time on our hands to do this. Great writing my friend!
