She sits across from me with a brave face……..I call her brave because she has chosen to follow GOD’S word and wisdom in such a world as this.

I see myself in her, because I struggle too and tomorrow is another day with unknowns coming.

And we both agree that morning, that thank GOD, the Almighty ONE, walks alongside us each day and HIS blessings alone are abundant.  We agree, the world out there is cruel and raw and polarizing.  So how is one to be brave each day?

DEUTERONOMY 31:6 “BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS.  DO NOT BE AFRAID OR TERRIFIED BECAUSE OF THEM, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD GOES WITH YOU; HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.”

Because now and today, it takes being brave to say what and WHOM you believe in, even when you know you will be criticized and marginalized for your belief.

And let’s admit it……..the world of women is more divided than ever!  There are those who follow their GOD and read HIS truth every day and then there are those who say “me too”, but oh wait, but not you!

There are those women who constantly compete, they try to be perfect and one up everyone around them.  I feel bad for them because all that must be exhausting to say the least!

And then there are those Christian Sisters you know you can share your heart with.  You know the kind………they love you, sins and all and encourage you to be a woman of reverent character so that you can stand tall to brave another day.

These woman are your safe place.  And because we love one another to help each other be brave let’s try daily to do this………

BE THE TYPE OF WOMAN WHO STRAIGHTENS ANOTHER WOMAN’S CROWN!

To be this type of woman, to be this type of friend to someone, to strive for this GODLY character, one needs to know who she is in her LORD!  And knowing this helps her be brave in her own skin.

WE ARE GOD’S BELOVED DAUGHTERS.

WE ARE LOVED WITH AN ABUNDANT LOVE.

WE ARE CHERISHED BY GOD.

A woman of character grows deeply in the LORD, because she reads TRUTH and goes deep.  She understands that GOD is for her, not against her.  HE remakes her and transforms her……..GOD is her safe place.

And when we yield to our girlfriends, rather than competing with one another, we lift and encourage one another the way GOD lifts us up too.  GOD knows we are broken and we should embrace one another in this brokenness with love and tears.

Just as CHRIST knows all of you, let yourself be known to a friend.  In order to make a friend, you have to be a friend.  Been hurt in the past?  Well, that just means that you loved much more than the person who hurt you!

To be brave and move on after being hurt takes courage that only GOD can give you.  HE will continue to give you spiritual courage that the world doesn’t understand.  Because love bears all things……..because GOD’S shoulder can bear all things.  HE is our safety and strength.  And we are most like our GOD when we are someone’s safe place.  So today……..begin here…….
