If we number our days carefully, then we will see that each day takes us one step closer to be with JESUS in HIS kingdom. Do you wake up thinking “ok LORD here is one more day, help me to live it to the fullest in YOUR name!”
PSALM 90: 12 “TEACH US TO REALIZE THE BREVITY OF LIFE, SO THAT WE MAY GROW IN WISDOM.” NLT
So let’s never stop learning about our great GOD, about who HE is and HIS character. I have spoken with many people this year that say they have a great hunger for HIS word and to study it……me included! I encourage you to do a study either at your Church or one on your own. There are so many to choose from. It can be as simple as this:
LEARN SOMETHING NEW ABOUT GOD EVERY DAY
Can you come to a place where you say that GOD is your favorite subject matter? When you get together with friends is HE the topic of conversation? Being in serious study consumes your soul and leaves you wanting more…….more of HIM and more of HIS word. This is the Holy Spirit working in us and through us, leading us into a deeper understanding and relationship with our almighty GOD.
I have learned about EL ROI, the GOD who sees me and sees you is the GOD who watches over you wherever you go. So HE sees us and we should want to deeply within…… see HIM!
2 TIMOTHY 3: 14 “BUT AS FOR YOU, CONTINUE IN WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED AND HAVE FIRMLY BELIEVED, KNOWING FROM WHOM YOU LEARNED IT.”
Continue…….keep learning, knowing from WHOM you have learned. Isn’t it better to learn from the LORD rather than our sin-soaked world? Doesn’t GOD’S wisdom make better sense than man’s? I know which one I am choosing!
There is a certainty in knowing from WHOM you have learned because you can trust what you have learned. HE is GOD the Father, with a perfect character. Wouldn’t you rather learn from HIM and make it a priority in your life? Yes, we go to school to get our degrees for our careers, but that is flawed. We learn by reading other books, but those too, are flawed.
LEARN ALL YOU CAN FROM THE WORD OF GOD THAT IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH
The Bible is not a bunch of stories, or a myth. It is GOD’S love letter written for HIS children to learn from HIM and to know who they are in HIM and to understand HIS great power, love and mercy for them. We cannot learn all that there is about GOD in our lifetimes! There is just too much to learn! So begin today, it’s a commitment, but the blessings in learning are so worth it. The best time spent is with GOD and learning is never a waste because it is an eternal journey……a journey that will take you someday home to HIM!
PSALM 119: 68 “YOU ARE GOOD, AND WHAT YOU DO IS GOOD; TEACH ME YOUR DECREES.”
