In this age of smart phones, people are more interested in who to follow or how many followers they have. Oh how we tend to blindly follow because it looks good or sounds good. If you really think about it, people are allowing others (who they don’t even know personally) to shape their lives. Influencers seem to be the priority right now. You can find them everywhere on social media.
THOSE WHO ARE WISE SEEK THE ULTIMATE INFLUENCER: JESUS CHRIST!
1 TIMOTHY 4: 2 “SUCH TEACHINGS COME THROUGH HYPOCRITICAL LIARS, WHOSE CONSCIENCE HAVE BEEN SEARED AS WITH A HOT IRON.”
Isn’t it interesting that in current society, people will follow what anyone on the other side of a screen will tell them? Honestly, if you don’t know them, you don’t know their character or their motives!
FOLLOW THE RIGHT PATH, FOLLOW GOD’S TRUTH
I don’t know about you but I am so very thankful that GOD has left us with HIS wisdom and truth in HIS word. But you have to read it in order to learn and respect and follow HIM because of HIS perfect character that never leads you deceptively. HIS truth stands alone and is secure now and for all generations.
EXODUS 23: 2 “YOU MUST NOT FOLLOW A CROWD IN WRONGDOING.”
The Bible tells us to beware…….beware of those who ask you to follow. It seems as if our society is going down a road of following blindly into evil sin. People are letting others to think for themselves. Whatever happened to questioning what someone is saying? These influencers are touting current trends and culture. They just create a following that they want and don’t care one bit for anyone. As Christians we follow only ONE GOD and HE is CHRIST THE LORD!
JOHN 10: 27 “MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, AND I KNOW THEM, AND THEY FOLLOW ME.”
Do we want to be known by the GOD of the universe that knows every hair on our heads or to just follow the crowd that follows someone that doesn’t know one bit about our lives?
JOHN 10: 14 “I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD. I KNOW MY OWN AND MY OWN KNOW ME.”
JESUS CHRIST is the best influencer there is! HE is the ONE who died for you and therefore loves you more than anyone on this planet. HE wants only the best for you. So, follow HIM……live for HIM. Honor HIM and learn all you can from HIM. For HE will never ever leave you or forsake you. HE is the GOD of all wisdom, strength and mercy. A good GOD that leads everyone who follows HIM with a Sovereign hand. So don’t blindly follow…….turn to GOD today!
HEBREWS 13: 5 “FOR HE HIMSELF HAS SAID, “I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.”
