How often do the very voices in our heads lead us in the wrong direction?  How often do these voices resemble the world around us?  My own conscience can be very critical and misleading.  And the voice coming from the enemy is always a tear down, a question and a distraction away from the LORD.

Because we have HIS spirit within us, we never know when the voice of the LORD will speak to us, but when HE does and HE most certainly will, we need to listen.  Recently I read this:

“YOU DO KNOW WHEN GOD’S VOICE WILL COME, BUT WHENEVER YOU SENSE IT, EVEN IN THE FAINTEST WAY IMAGINABLE, RECKLESSLY ABANDON ALL TO HIM.  IT’S ONLY BY ABANDONING YOURSELF THAT YOU LEARN TO TRUST THE LORD.”

The spirit within us speaks, often in the faintest way……..do we recognize it?  Oh to hear HIS voice!  We need to learn to be intentional with our listening.

ZECHARIAH 7:  13   “WHEN I CALLED, THEY DID NOT LISTEN; SO WHEN THEY CALLED, I WOULD NOT LISTEN, SAYS THE LORD ALMIGHTY.”

Oh to listen, abandon oneself and then to obey.  I have wondered……..wondered many times:  “LORD is this you?”  Then very soon after I would read a scripture and someone would say something to me that would confirm what I just thought I heard!

How often do the voices of the enemy discourage us?  Really now, satan wants us to get down and discouraged so that we will be ineffective for the KINGDOM.  If he has you so focused upon yourself then you will miss that faint whisper of GOD!

Abandon yourself and place your focus upon the LORD!  This is where full trust comes in.  This is where the spirit takes over our usual countenance and leads us in all ways JESUS!

ACTS 15:  8  “AND GOD WHO KNOWS THE HEART, BORE WITNESS TO THEM, BY GIVING THEM THE HOLY SPIRIT JUST AS HE DID TO US……..”

In those hard moments, GOD knows our hearts and then speaks ever so faintly.  Let’s pray that we are always in tune and listening for HIM.  I don’t want to miss HIM…….do you?

This walking in the spirit takes courage, trust and abandoning oneself.  The enemy will tell us there is a solution to whatever we face and we can solve the problem.  Our LORD and SAVIOR says to trust HIM with all heart, soul and mind………to recklessly abandon all our ways.  Trust GOD above all…….trust HIS voice above all.  And why?  Because in truth, HE is our ALL and ALL!

So, let go today……..stop trying to do everything on your own, stop listening to what the world tells you and listen to the word of GOD.  There is wisdom there and there is a plan.  We just need to grab hold with all our might.  That’s when the peace comes because HE speaks into our lives.  Thank you LORD JESUS that you came for us and will not ever abandon or leave us.  YOUR word says so!

ISAIAH 43:  13   “FROM ETERNITY TO ETERNITY I AM GOD.  NO ONE CAN SNATCH ANYONE OUT OF MY HAND.  NO ONE CAN UNDO WHAT I HAVE DONE.”
