There is nothing like getting older to teach you that there are limits your body has. We may push our bodies as if we were 20 years old, but we very soon realize the next day what a painful mistake we made!
OUR GOD HAS NO LIMITS!
When we are overwhelmed by grief or sorrow and then come to the end of ourselves trying to find any kind of comfort, we reach for compassion and understanding that only a gracious GOD can give. How often in the midst of pain and our limited view do we miss the great GOD who is right before us?
And then there is fear……..it can be paralyzing and debilitating and in truth, we are limited as to how our brains deal with it. Our bodies know the fight or flight response, but how often do we carry around fear tucked away, just beneath the surface of our smiles? Our fear can become grounded in all of the “what ifs”.
ISAIAH 41: 10 “SO DO NOT FEAR, FOR I AM WITH YOU; DO NOT BE DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL STRENGTHEN YOU AND HELP YOU; I WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND.”
Fear, grief, sorrow, pain etc……..all these ultimately show us how limited we all are to deal with them. But there is a GOD who exists that goes beyond all we can imagine and even understand. A GOD who saves and a GOD who loves us.
ISAIAH 44: 6 “THIS IS WHAT THE LORD SAYS – ISRAEL’S KING AND REDEEMER, THE LORD ALMIGHTY: I AM THE FIRST AND I AM THE LAST; APART FROM ME THERE IS NO GOD.”
Let’s remember today that the ONE who saved us has unlimited power……..we need only to believe. When we realize our limitations, let’s bow and praise the ONE who is all of this and even more……
EPHESIANS 3: 20 “NOW TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY MORE THAN ALL WE ASK OR IMAGINE, ACCORDING TO HIS POWER THAT IS AT WORK WITHIN US.”
There is power in HIS NAME……….there is power in JESUS! GOD does the impossible and we need to know in all of our limitations that HE is the possible GOD! Don’t say “if” declare “when”!
MARK 9: 23 “IF YOU CAN? SAID JESUS. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE FOR ONE WHO BELIEVES.”
Believe today that in your limitations, even in your limited resources, that GOD is with you and makes all the impossibles………possible!
PSALM 147: 5 “GREAT IS OUR LORD AND MIGHTY IN POWER; HIS UNDERSTANDING HAS NO LIMITS.”

Through trials, I have learned to early run to Jesus: grief, fear, trouble.
My roughest times are when relationships are rocky. In the right-now issues of disagreements or strife, I find myself focusing on what’s going on and how I feel about it (and how to control those feelings, sometimes). I am learning to call on my amazing God early within those times. Wow. He really does intervene in ways I cannot comprehend or expect.

Amen 🙌 Amen Maxine. I feel every word… Aging, pain, fear, and those hidden “what ifs.” But praise God, His strength has no limits, and His love carries us through it all….
