BEAUTY AND A BENCH

In this new neighborhood where we just moved to there are benches throughout strategically placed on paths and around tennis courts, the pool and even overlooking a putting green.  I have always had a soft spot in my heart for a bench.  I am drawn to them because they are inviting you to sit and stay awhile…….to notice the view.  I have written about benches before and just seeing GOD before you and the importance of this.  (See post on July 5, 2022)

I think you can count on benches showing you something and most of the time it is a beautiful view.

WHERE GOD IS…….THERE IS BEAUTY TO BE FOUND

PSALM 96: 6   “SPLENDOR AND MAJESTY ARE BEFORE HIM, STRENGTH AND BEAUTY ARE IN HIS SANCTUARY.”

You don’t need to go far or go on vacation to see GOD’S incredible beauty……..just find a bench and see HIS beauty revealed.

A bench can be a place for quiet reflection or for working out a problem or for just resting in HIS peace.  The lovely world is really all around you, you just need to stop and look.

LOOK IN AWE AND LOOK IN REVERANCE

Look always knowing that GOD made that view and GOD invites you to see HIS majestic HAND each and every day.  GOD created that view, just for you!

PSALM 46: 10   “BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.”

We will never understand and come to know the above command from GOD unless we stop all our busyness and ponder our lives and how they are held in the SAVIOR’S hand.  We must draw near to HIM because HE will draw near to us.  Take the time to let GOD touch your heart and change it.  But you must stop, sit still, clear your mind and rest.

So take some time today………go sit on a bench because GOD is calling you there.  And may you be blessed by HIS peace, HIS direction and see HIS provision for you.  HE has called you today, by name.  GO and SEE!

ISAIAH 43: 1   “FEAR NOT, FOR I HAVE REDEEMED YOU; I HAVE CALLED YOU BY NAME, YOU ARE MINE.”

  1. Me too! I love benches. So inviting, so peaceful, such a great place for contemplation. I pray we get to share a bench some time in this life, Maxine. 🥰 Until then, I will share the prayer bench in cyberspace that the Lord has given us.
