We are to love GOD with all our heart, soul and mind…….and then we are to love our neighbor as ourselves.  LOVE.  The GOD of love wants us to love as HE loved.  We are to love as JESUS loved as HE walked the earth.

Life without love is worthless and empty.  It seeks only for itself and therefore a dead end. Love is at the center of relationships and our GOD wants us and desires for us to love HIM with our very souls.

PSALM 116: 1-2  “I LOVE THE LORD, BECAUSE HE HAS HEARD MY VOICE AND MY PLEA FOR MERCY.  BECAUSE HE INCLINED HIS EAR TO ME, THEREFORE I WILL CALL ON HIM AS LONG AS I LIVE.”

HE loves us and HE hears us when we call, HE listens and HE answers in a way that is best for us.  After learning to love GOD because of all the way HE provides for us, we learn to love others the way JESUS did.  Oh to be more like JESUS! Oh to experience HIS amazing love!

If you ponder this……..busyness is the great enemy of our relationships.  How often do we not see someone or call someone, because we are too busy?  But busy doing what?  If we are too busy for GOD, then we definitely are too busy for people!

One of the best expressions of our love is our time……..time is precious!  So don’t let weeks or months go by without taking great care for someone…….because that time is gone forever and we are not guaranteed tomorrow. 

Recently I experienced two friends loving me.  They both visited from out of town, just to see how I was after my Cancer treatments.  They just needed to see and know that I was doing ok.  I cannot express how their taking the time to come see me touched my heart in such a deep way.  They took the time out of their busy schedules to fly out to spend precious time with me.  What a wonderful gift that time together was!

Our love for GOD will spill over onto our love for people.  We will see them as HIS children and love them, because HE loves them.  We will want what is best for them, the actual saving of their souls because GOD wants that too.  If we would take the attitude with everyone that we are more concerned for their souls than anything else, then we would treat people differently with more care and more love.

LUKE 6: 35  “BUT LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, AND DO GOOD……..”

In order to love people, time must be a priority for you for them.  Time is our life.  Time is a sacrifice to someone you love, but it is worth it.  GOD is concerned with how we use our time because it is not to be wasted but used in the best possible way.  Moments tick away into hours and days and months and then a full lifetime.  How often do we say: where did all the time go?

True love shows itself in action……..true love sacrifices and gives away.  So love GOD and love HIS people with your time, your talents and your spirit.  And whatever we do for the least of humanity, we do for HIM as well. 

LOVE GOD’S PEOPLE

Our love for one another should not be just words and talk, but sacrifice and action.  Actions speak louder than words sometimes…….so act now and go love on someone you haven’t in a while!  Love the lovable, but love on the unlovable too.

Abide in HIS love today…….than go and love others for GOD.  Love is HIS most important message to us because HE first loved us, even when we were sinners.  What a gracious and pure love GOD has always had for HIS creation and for you and me.  Know HIS love then share it and learn from it.  It truly is a gift to be first treasured and then shared.
