You are HIS beloved…….did you know?  You are loved and cherished by our great GOD.  And JESUS made this possible.  JESUS died for our sins so we could be with HIM for all of eternity. 

IN SPITE OF OUR PRIDE AND SIN……..WE ARE HIS.

In spite of our brokenness and all our inadequacies……..we are HIS.  In spite of those daily sins which we ask forgiveness for…….we are still HIS.

1 JOHN 3: 2  “BELOVED, WE ARE GOD’S CHILDREN NOW, AND WHAT WE WILL BE HAS NOT YET APPEARED.”

So we are HIS……..now.  Not tomorrow or the next day and not when we get cleaned up enough.  Not when we try to be more religious, no we are loved by HIM……now.  HE has compassion upon us when we say we believe, even when we have unbelief! 

I am currently undergoing radiation treatments for breast cancer.  It takes courage to allow a 5 million dollar radiation machine to move around your captive body.  You are completely helpless and surrendered upon a hard table laying absolutely still.  For those minutes, I am in a broken and surrendered state praying this big machine will do the right thing.  I know that GOD is with me because HE cares and loves me and says: “I am here with you now and I will give you the strength and courage you need.”

JOSHUA 1: 9  “HAVE I NOT COMMANDED YOU?  BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS.  DO NOT BE FRIGHTENED AND DO NOT BE DISMAYED, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO.”

Because we are HIS beloved……..HE goes with us wherever we go.  Not just in some places, but all places.  HE loves us and never leaves us alone.  Other people may leave you, but HE never will. Other people won’t even care about all you are going through, but JESUS will.

We are held more closely, more intimately by JESUS than anyone else we know on this earth.  HE loved us even before time began…….

JEREMIAH 31: 3  “I HAVE LOVED YOU WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE; THEREFORE I HAVE CONTINUED MY FAITHFULNESS TO YOU.”

We can count on the fact that we are HIS beloved because HE is a faithful GOD and HIS words to us are true and righteous.  Because GOD is good all the time.  Take comfort now for today that you are HIS, and you are HIS beloved!

1 JOHN 4: 10  “AND LOVE CONSISTS IN THIS:  NOT THAT WE LOVED GOD, BUT THAT HE LOVED US AND SENT HIS SON AS THE ATONING SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS.”
